- Time is more efficient because it often moves from one job to another.

- The invention of specialized machines that can do only one type of work in a series of jobs.

In the early 20th century, F. Taylor enacted this law and further influenced the development of scientific management. From then until the early 1990s, many developments were made based on this tradition of activity.

In 1776, Adam Smith developed the theory of labour specialization in production (Kumar and Suresh, 2009, p. 284).

In this period we see the evolution of production systems, moving from home-based production systems to machine-based production systems, such as the invention of the spinning wheel, the loom, and the steam engine.

The development of production advanced along with the growth of factories, and along with it the growth of labor.

This was followed by the development of cost accounting in 1799 by Eli Whitney and other scientists. Then in 1832, Charles Babbage developed division of labor and assignments based on employee skills and time management needs (Kumar and Suresh, 2009, p. 284).

From the science of time management, Frederick Taylor developed work planning and performance in 1900. A little later, in 1900, Frank Gilbert introduced the idea of labor studies (Wilson, 995, p. 87). This was followed by the development of employee work scheduling techniques and the development of manufacturing jobs that required the use of machines.

Both of these developments were made by Henry Gantt in 1901. In 1915, F.W. Harris developed the use of inventory for economic control. The human relations department was developed by Elton Mayo in 1927 (Kumar and Suresh, 2009, p. 284). Following this development, statistical information was used to test and control the quality of various products by using quality control cards.

This development was made by WA Shewhart in 1931. This contribution was later developed into sampling techniques for controlling product quality and for inspection purposes in 1935 by HF Dodge and HF Roming. In 1946, a group of scientists, including PM Blacker, contributed to the application of operations research in World War II (Meredith, 2006, p. 189).

A very significant contribution occurred in 1946 when John Mauchlly and JP Eckert developed the digital computer. After the use of computers, GB Dantzig and William developed business operations programming software in 1947.
