Abstrack

The background of the problem in this research is that the limitations of space and time are the main obstacles to improving the quality of learning. The increase in the number of students in an institution has the potential to reduce the quality of interaction between educators and students so that maximum results, in the form of quality learning, are further from expectations. 

Based on the background, problems arise (1) whether the computational physics learning materials using Moodle developed by the author are easy to understand according to the readability of the text, (2) how much is the level of user interest in using online computational physics learning materials. 

The objectives achieved are (1) to determine the level of readability of the text of computational physics learning materials, (2) to determine the level of user interest in computational physics learning materials. 

The benefit of this research is that it provides information for educators about computational physics learning materials using Moodle regarding the level of text readability and the level of user interest. Moodle is a software package that is useful for creating and conducting internet-based courses/training/education. 

Moodle is an acronym for modular object-oriented dynamic learning environment. Moodle allows you to do online learning activities and allows students to study independently. This learning material is displayed on your computer screen using Moodle. In this study, we used the test method and the questionnaire method to collect data. 

The test procedure is used to determine the readability of the text learning material. Collecting data is a test method and a questionnaire method.

The test method is used to determine the level of readability of the text of learning materials. While the questionnaire method is used to determine the level of user interest in learning materials using Moodle which was developed by the author. To find out the level of readability of the text of the learning materials, the method of using the cloze test is to use the cloze test. 

From the research output, it was obtained that the percentage of the readability of the text of the learning materials was 83.5%, this means that the learning materials using Moodle developed by the author are included in the criteria for easy understanding. While the percentage level of interest based on the user as much as 78.2%. 

This means that the learning materials using Moodle developed by the author are included in the good category. The conclusion obtained based on the output of this research is that the learning materials developed by the author are included in the criteria of being easy to understand and the level of user interest is in the good category, as a result the learning materials can be used for independent learning and can be used as a complement to teaching and learning activities.
