Pola susunan kalimat ini berfungsi untuk menjelaskan tentang hal atau kegiatan yang akan, sedang, dan telah dilakukan di masa lalu. Seperti pengertiannya biasanya, terdapat lebih dari satu keterangan waktu dalam tense ini. Rumusnya adalah sebagai berikut:
