Hi everyone! my name is Yenny Sardi  and im from Public Speaking A from Ahmad Dahlan University. Today im going to telling you that Communication Studies has held the opening event for youth communication day 2021 on December 13, 2021.

in this event there are 5 keynote speakers : 1. Anton Yudhana, 2. Prof. Estrella Arroyo, 3. Jessada Salathong, 4. Dr. Kirti Dang-Longani, 5.Dr. Chen Chujie. Than the moderator is Mr. Mufid Salim, M.B.A .

the speaker that i  take is Mr.Anton, Communication Challenge in the Age of Hybrid. But what is hybrid communication ? The definition of hybrid in the dictionary is a wonderful place to start when telling a tale about hybrid communication. Hybrid communication connects two completely distinct sorts of workers: in-office and remote employees, much like hybrids represent an item created by blending two elements. When you describe it like that, it sounds simple, yet hybrid communication had to adapt swiftly to suit the demands of the modern post-Covid-19 world. But it succeeded admirably in offering a powerful tool for the hybrid workforce to complete their daily chores. 

The future of hybrid offices is bright thanks to this new mode of communication. This does not, however, imply that the hard work is finished. On the contrary, the demand to keep current and follow the latest communication trends grows, pushing hybrid communication to its limits and driving it to improve.

There are some topic’s about automation and AI. Making technology or software that can accomplish things automatically — without human involvement — is what automation is all about.

Artificial intelligence, on the other hand, is a branch of science and engineering concerned with the creation of intelligent machines (according to John McCarthy, person who coined this term). The goal of artificial intelligence (AI) is to have robots or software replicate, and eventually outperform, human behavior and intelligence.

Artificial Intelligence can or cannot be used to automate processes. Place some sensors and make anything happen based on the sensor data to give industrial automation. Between the first and third industrial revolutions, automation evolved into what we know today: manufacturing with automatic testing and control systems, mechanical labor, operating equipment, and, of course, computers. Explicit programming and regulations govern all forms of automation that have appeared in our environment.

The Future of work : The impact of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic requires educational institutions to implement Learning from Home  activities through the online distance learning method  using e-learning. Educational institutions that have been using direct communication in learning have switched to learning using online media (mediated communication). 

Some communication media in e-learning can only run in synchronous or asynchronous mode, some others can run in both modes. This study aims to determine the preferences of educators and students in choosing the type and communication media used in e-learning in the implementation.

Qualitative methods with a comparative descriptive approach are used to describe and compare the functions, advantages and disadvantages of each communication media as well as to see the preferences for the use of communication media in online distance learning. 

The learning process that occurs today, mostly uses a hybrid communication mode that combines synchronous and asynchronous communication. In choosing communication media that are used for e-learning, educators consider several factors, including: data quota consumption, user friendly, network infrastructure conditions, and conformity to learning activities. So that educators and students have high preferences for several applications such as Whatsapp, Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, Microsoft team, Google Clasroom, Google forms, Quizziz to be used together.

The COVID-19 pandemic has struck the world, prompting the enforcement of stay-at-home policies to halt the spread of COVID-19. Indonesia is not exempted from this situation. The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated social distance due to social distancing, quarantine, and isolation to minimise the spread of the virus. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, an online learning system was used. The ideal learning methods in the new normal era are blended learning and hybrid learning methods. Online learning demands the attention of the communicant so that the message conveyed by the communicator can run effectively.

If hybrid learning as an instructional medium can be appropriately utilised, the learning objectives can be achieved. However, in previous studies, the blended learning method still needs to be evaluated so that its application can run well and as expected. Because communication transactions that can overcome various frames of reference or clarify difficulties to transfer understanding in a timely manner are considered rich, the media richness theory is applied in this study. 

This study aims to know how effective hybrid learning is in Southeast Sulawesi during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is phenomenology by involving junior high school teachers in Southeast Sulawesi. Based on this study’s data analysis findings, the Effectiveness of the hybrid learning model in Southeast Sulawesi during the COVID-19 outbreak is decided by students’ and parents’ desire to monitor their children.

COVID-19 has altered the way we do business.

Even before the pandemic, the American workforce was increasingly reliant on videoconferencing and Slack for distant collaboration. In an unprecedented way, the global crisis has pushed the adoption of these work technologies and behaviors. COVID-19 caused more than 80% of workers to work from home by April 2020, according to nearly half of businesses.

That transition was made possible by decades of research and development into technology that facilitate remote work, but not everyone finds it as simple as others. Some of the obstacles faced by women working from home utilizing technology were noted in important study as early as 1987. The issues of child care, work-home separation, and employee growth prospects were all mentioned.

Working from home and working in the office both have their benefits and downsides. Remote workers tend to be more productive for example. However, it is difficult to manage the progress of workers from home, and home networks tend to be less reliable. Effective communication, meeting days and incentives are ways that managers can make a hybrid model work.

Intuitive vs. Analytical

The analytical way of thinking is rational and step-by-step. It usually tries to comprehend and address or solve a problem or issue by breaking it down into its basic elements. It's frequently fairly method-driven, with models and frameworks that have been carefully considered (and sometimes based on research). The real options analysis, which is used to plan technological investments, and the business model canvas, which is used during new business creation, are examples of these.

The intuitive way of thinking, on the other hand, is guided by gut instinct and confidence gained through experience. It makes strategic decisions based on observed indications and trends from the internal and external organization environment, rather than following a predetermined set of analytical steps. It relies on the individual's ability to construct their own internal strategies of making sense of strategic dilemmas because particular explicitly available equations are not followed.

These various ways of thinking have their own set of benefits. For example, an analytical approach to a particular issue will typically be open and allow objective contributions from multiple persons, allowing them to collaborate based on a shared understanding of a model or framework. In most cases, an intuitive method is quick and efficient. It is based on the ability to read meanings from observable patterns and create solutions swiftly using mental and experiential abilities.

Of course, there are disadvantages to these benefits, and the disadvantages of each technique are often obvious. Analytical methodologies frequently fail when confronted with complicated situations, unable to cope with the range and amounts of variables. Because of the reliance on models, it necessitates specialized knowledge, such as an understanding and use of the Black-Scholes model for real options valuation.

Intuitive techniques are highly personal and rely on unspoken knowledge that is difficult to impart. Getting others to agree on a decision often requires the use of persuasion and, in certain cases, the creation of flimsy and difficult-to-accept connections between influencing elements. Decisions might easily be interpreted as subjective or, worse, political.

Good Research Output. The Good research Output are : 1. Eligible to be published in scientific journals, especially international scientific journals. 2 Eligible to be patented if it has a high commercial value.

Design thinking. Design Thinking has a human-centered core. It encourages organizations to focus on the people they’re creating form which leads to better products, services, and internal processes

As the importance of design thinking in higher education grows, we must consider how to help educators and students learn about the concepts and apply them to their own projects. Creating hybrid learning spaces with tools that encourage design thinking and provide affordances for different methodologies, ways of working, and thinking is one approach. Physical-digital, formal-informal, learning-teaching, and individual-collective dichotomies are all dissolved by hybridity. This article explains how to create such spaces on university campuses using design concepts and patterns. We'll go over how we found, implemented, and tested them. We can make recommendations based on these findings for creating new hybrid venues for design thinking at other universities.

The term design thinking is now commonly used for many different things. It covers different norms, values and processes. To set the stage for the succeeding sections, we want to clarify the understanding of design thinking we used when we created the learning spaces.

The hybrid learning spaces are linked to a number of strategic and operational goals that are related to both the academic context and social development – for example, enabling social innovation and social entrepreneurship. On a strategic level, the major purpose is to boost student projects' creativity and inventive potential. Methodological skills should be facilitated, multidisciplinary contacts should be enabled, and design thinking should be supported in an innovation space. Another goal is for students to feel more connected to their own university as a centre of innovation. Because learning resources are now available digitally and may be used from home or on the road off-campus, collaborative learning styles are the key reason for the on-campus encounter. As a result, the spaces should be extraordinary locations that provide opportunities not available at home.

Design thinking is a strong approach that aids in the understanding and framing of problems, allows for creative solutions, and may offer new perspectives on our physical and social environments. Design thinking isn't just for architects and product designers; it can be used in a variety of fields to solve real-world problems and resolve conflicts. It's a tool that can spark creativity and imagination, resulting in unique solutions that are responsive to stakeholders' demands and concerns.

Indicator of good research. Good research is repeatable, transparent, and reproducible.

Some of the most significant features of research are replicability, reproducibility, and transparency. A research study's replicability is critical because it allows other researchers to test the study's conclusions. Readers will be more likely to believe a study's conclusions if they can be replicated.

Good research can also be replicated. Though the terms replicability and reproducibility are frequently used interchangeably, research is reproducible when researchers obtain similar results using the same data and analysis procedures. A research study's and its findings' reproducibility and replicability might corroborate the study's overall validity and credibility.

Understandably, good research is carried out according to research ethics. According to the World Health Organization, research ethics provide standards of conduct for scientific researchers. These standards help protect the rights and dignity of research participants while ensuring that researchers practice values, such as honesty, objectivity, integrity, and accountability in their work.

Research in Universities is directed at developing science and technology, as well as improving the welfare of the community and the competitiveness of the natios as described in UUD No.12 Tahun 2012 concerning Higher Education.

4. Commercialization.
