Memantapkan Ke-Asia-an Peserta Drag Queen Asia-Amerika dalam Acara Kompetisi RuPaul Drag Race (2009-2020) Part 2

Setelah membahas sisi sosiologis, antropologis, dan psikologis pada peserta drag queen (waria) Asia-Amerika yang mengikuti RuPaul's Drag Race (RPDR), pada pembahasan kali ini membahas background personalnya yang terdiri dari 17 orang, 1 berasal dari Amerika yang mengikuti kompetisi RPDR Thailand Musim 2 bernama Genie. So, Genie tidak di bahas di dalam ulasan background personal peserta Drag Race from Asia. Untuk mengulas 16 personal peserta RPDR maka saya akan membagi menjadi 2 part, yang pertama berisi 7 orang dan yang kedua berisi 9 orang berdasarkan abjad alfabet Latin.

1. Gia Gunn

Gia Gunn

Gia Gunn adalah nama panggung Gia Ketaro Ichikawa, seorang pemain drag dari Chicago, Illinois berkebangsaan Jepang-Amerika lahir pada tanggal 10 Mei 1990. Dia terkenal karena menjadi kontestan Musim 6 dari RuPaul's Drag Race, di mana dia menempati posisi ke-10, dan di All Stars 4 di mana dia menempati posisi ke-8. Gia juga berkompetisi di musim kedua The Switch, spin-off Chile dari RuPaul's Drag Race, di mana dia ditempatkan sebagai Runner-Up. 

Selain itu, Gia adalah kontestan ke-6 yang keluar sebagai transgender. Quotes yang paling terkenal sebagai identitas Asia dari Gia yaitu:  "Just got off the boat, you know, little trip from Asia. Just landed like fresh tilapia" (Season 6). Pada musim keenam dari serial reality televisi, Gunn dikutip dalam kata-katanya mengungkapkan kebenciannya pada "ratu yang berantakan, ratu murahan, dan ratu jantan". Selama episode Untucked, dia mengkritik salah satu pesaingnya, Milk, ketika mereka memerankan seorang wanita hamil. 

Setelah dipanggil sebagai "bodoh" oleh salah satu pesaing saingannya, Joslyn Fox, Gunn bereaksi sangat negatif dan terlibat dalam konfrontasi melawan mereka. Namun, Milk sudah mengkritiknya karena memiliki "sikap elitis" dan menjulukinya "Kimora Lee" juga. Dia tersingkir pada episode kelima, lebih dikenal sebagai "The Snatch Game", di mana dia memerankan Kim Kardashian. 

Gunn awalnya berencana untuk memerankan almarhum penyanyi dan penulis lagu Amerika, Selena, namun rencana itu ditanggapi dengan skeptis dari RuPaul. Dia mendarat di dua terbawah dengan Laganja Estranja dan lip-sync melawannya menjadi "Head to Toe" oleh Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. Setelah tersingkir, Gunn, dengan bulu mata miring, mengungkapkan kemarahannya pada topik pesaing saingannya yang sekarang menjadi saingannya karena lolos dengan "berdandan seperti pria" dan bahwa Gunn setidaknya senang memiliki temannya, Estranja, kirim dia pulang.

a. Gia Gunn came out as transgender on Trans Visibility Day 2017.

b. Gia is the first queen to be booted on Fashion Photo Ruview.

d. Gia lives with her drag sister and fellow Season 6 contestant Laganja Estranja. Together they form the drag duo, #TeamTooMuch.

e. Gia is a frequent guest on Kimora Blac's show: Wait, What?.

f. Gia is the third member of the House of Edwards member to compete on All Stars, after Alyssa Edwards and Shangela.

g. Gia and Kandy Ho are the only queens in the Rupaul's Drag Race franchise to appear in The Switch.

2. Jackie Cox

Jackie Cox

Jacke Cox memiliki nama asli Darius Rose, lahir pada tanggal 10 April 1985 merupakan keturunan Iran-Kanada. Nama drag-nya diciptakan oleh dia dan sahabatnya di perguruan tinggi sebagai karakter yang mereka buat, yang ada di teater musikal. Dia merupakan peserta RPDR Season 12 (2020) menempati peringkat 5 dalam kompetisi tersebut. 

Quotes yang mengidentifikasikan Jackie Cox memiliki identitas ke-Asia-annya yaitu "Roll call...I'm Jackie! Salaam! The Persian princess of drag has arrived!" (entrance quote) (Season 12), " Hey I'm Jackie, Miss Cox if you're naughty, just like my girls Laverne, Deb and Courtney. Giving schatzi style, take it to the floor, I'm not just the Persian princess next door. Fab, funny, feminine, and absolutely fierce. So salamati, boys, that's how I say cheers! From the streets of Hell's Kitchen right to the runway. This beat is so bitchin', you better say shantay! " (verse in "I'm That Bitch"), dan " I've fought to stay in the game, now I've let go of my shame. With Persian-ality, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm Jackie Cox, can't fit me in a box. But you can rub my lamp, I'll give you camp, I'll be workin' on my merkin as I'm turning up the amp! " (verse in "Losing is the New Winning")

Penghargaan, Kehidupan Pribadi, dan Acara Shows:

a. Jackie is the oldest queen to compete on Season 12, being 34 years old at the filming of the show.

b. She is the first queen in Drag Race herstory to win the Reunion episode.

c. Jackie holds the record for the most HIGH placements in a single season without winning a challenge, having placed in the top a total of 6 times.

d. This beats the record of five previously held by both Pandora Boxx (Season 2) and Mont X Change (Season 10).

e. She also has impressive 3 mini-challenge wins, despite not winning a Maxi challenge.

f. However, she did win the Reunion episode. But, seeing as there was no official Maxi challenge, it doesn't count.

g. Every time Jackie lip-synced for her life and wasn't eliminated, Jaida Essence Hall won the Maxi challenge.

h. Despite the fact that her mother holds American citizenship, she herself holds Canadian citizenship while having a green card, making her ineligible to vote in the United States.

i. In EW's Binge Podcast, Jackie has officially been chosen as the "trade of the season", by Jaida Essence Hall and Crystal Methyd.

j. As Jackie knew there was a possibility to do an advertising challenge on Season 12, she designed another concept prior to filming: "Snackie Cox: The Jackie Box" a snack subscription box with five products:

• "Just the Tip" Jackie's Crunchy Nail Chips (For the girl on the go. When you're hungry, you can just eat your nails! Just 96 calories per serving)
• "Slack Jax" Smoked Breast Cutlet (You've heard of Slim Jim, but have you cut yourself some Slack Jax? Completely artificial)

• "Cox Rox" Hard candy (If you need a little excitement in your life, try some Cox Rox! Very HARD candy that explodes in your mouth! No innuendos here)
• "Jackie's Booty" Baked hip pads (Aged and cheesy, just like me!)

3. Jiggly Caliente

Jiggly Caliente adalah nama panggung dari Bianca Castro, seorang penampil drag Filipina-Amerika dari Queens, New York. Terkenal karena menjadi kontestan Musim 4 dari RuPaul's Drag Race (RPDR). Lahir pada tanggal 29 November 1981 peringkat 8 di RPDR Musim 4 (2012). Namanya diambil dari Pokemon "Jigglypuff". Caliente menyatakan, "Saya menjatuhkannya, dan saya sangat seksi Jiggly Caliente." Ibunya adalah Chevelle Brooks. Dia memilih untuk tidak menggunakan nama Brooks.

a. On the 22nd of January 2016 she became the 5th contestant (after Sonique, Carmen Carrera, Kenya Michaels, and Monica Beverly Hillz) to come out as transgender.

b. On the 9th of March 2018, she released her debut album, titled "T.H.O.T. Process" on iTunes. It features RuPaul, Sharon Needles, Peppermint, Alaska, Ginger Minj, Phi Phi O'Hara and Manila Luzon.

c. The first single of "T.H.O.T. Process", titled "FckBoi" was released with a music video on March 1st, 2018.

d. Her Drag Mother is Chevelle Brookes, and her Drag Grandmother is Kelexis Davenport. This makes A'keria C. Davenport, Honey Davenport, and Ra'Jah O'Hara her drag cousins.

e. She is a taco lover.

f. Jiggly portrays 'Veronica Ferocity' on FX's 'Pose', a recurring role throughout both seasons of the show. The show also briefly features Season 9 finalist Peppermint.

4. Jujubee

Jujubee

Jujubee adalah nama panggung dari Airline Inthyrath, seorang penampil drag profesional, penata rias, penyanyi, dan komedian dari Boston, Massachusetts, Amerika Serikat. Dia terkenal sebagai kontestan RuPaul's Drag Race Season 2. Ibunya adalah Karisma Geneva Jackson-Tae. Jujubee merupakan old drag queen RPDR Musim 2 yang berdarah Laos-Amerika ini lahir pada tanggal 21 Juni 1984. Quotes yang menunjukkan Jujubee merupakan keturunan Asia adalah "Memoirs of a Gay-SHA!" (Season 2). Dia sangat dikenal sebagai favorit penggemar dan dikenang karena persahabatannya dengan sesama alumni Musim 2, Raven. Setelah Jujubee menempati posisi ketiga di musim kedua, dia kembali bersaing di All Stars 1, berpasangan dengan Raven. 

Jujubee kemudian ditempatkan di tempat ketiga/keempat bersama dengan Shannel, sementara Raven ditempatkan di urutan kedua setelah Chad Michaels. Pada 8 Mei 2020, diumumkan bahwa dia akan berkompetisi di All Stars 5. Sepanjang musim, dia secara konsisten mendapat kritik positif, sangat kontras dengan penampilannya di Season 2 dan All Stars 1. Dia menyelesaikan musim sebagai Runner-Up pesaing lainnya Miz Cracker, keduanya kalah dari Shea Coule. Sebelum berkompetisi di RuPaul's Drag Race, Inthyrath belajar teater di perguruan tinggi. Jujubee adalah penduduk asli Boston. Sejak Drag Race, Jujubee telah tampil di seluruh Amerika Serikat dan Kanada sebagai bagian dari RuPaul Drag Race Tour. Dia juga muncul di video musik untuk lagu RuPaul "Jealous of My Boogie" dan di video musik Xelle "Queen". Ibunya, Karisma Geneva Jackson-Tae, menyatakan bahwa Jujubee akan menjadi namanya, ketika dia melakukan kompetisi amatir dan menang. Ternyata itu buah jujube. Dia tidak menyukai nama itu, tetapi menyimpannya karena penting artinya bagi Karisma.

Jujubee adalah favorit penggemar berat dan bisa dibilang salah satu kontestan paling populer yang pernah berkompetisi di RPDR, bersama Willam, Raven, dan Bianca Del Rio. Dia dikenal di acara itu karena kepribadiannya yang menyenangkan, keterampilan rias wajahnya, selera humornya, dan penampilan sensasional lip-syncnya dengan mengeliminasi tiga pesaingnya di Musim 2, dan memenangkan 2 sinkronisasi bibir lagi di All Stars 1. Tujuannya adalah untuk memenuhi mimpinya tentang drag sebagai seorang anak dan untuk membuktikan kepada almarhum ayahnya bahwa dia bisa berhasil dan menjadi "American's Next Drag Superstar".

Penghargaan, Kehidupan Pribadi, dan Acara Shows:

a. Jujubee is the first and only contestant in herstory...

• ... to be of Thai and Laotian descent.
• ... to have made it to a finale without any Maxi Challenge wins in a regular series (in Season 2).
• ... to be eliminated by RuPaul twice (in Season 2 and All Stars 1).
• ... to make it to the finale in three different seasons (in Season 2, All Stars 1 and All Stars 5).
• ... to be drunk during a lip-sync (in episode 6 of Season 2).

b. This would take later affect on future seasons, as cocktails since get washed down with water in Untucked.

c. Jujubee is the first contestant to survive three lip-syncs in her original season.

d. She was followed by Alexis Mateo in Season 3, Coco Montrese in Season 5, Darienne Lake in Season 6, Kameron Michaels in Season 10 and Heidi N Closet in Season 12.

e. She has the lowest Dusted or Busted out of all Drag Race finalists: -6, along with Raven, in All Stars 1.

f. Jujubee is the third contestant to win two reading challenges, after Alaska and Latrice Royale.

g. Jujubee has had the longest run across seasons before winning her first Maxi Challenge, having competed in 17 Drag Race episodes prior to winning a Maxi Challenge.

h. Jujubee is also the queen to have competed in the most amount of episodes, at 24.

i. Jujubee is the only contestant from All Stars 1 who returned to compete in another All Stars season to make it to the finale.

j. Manila Luzon, Latrice Royale, and Alexis Mateo respectively placed 6th, 5th, and 5th on their second time in All Stars.

k. Jujubee holds the record for the most times being up for elimination across all seasons, with nine times in total (three on each season she was on).

l. However, the only reason she holds this record is because of the twist on All Stars 5. Without it, she would arguably only have been up for elimination a total of 6 or 7 times, behind Latrice Royale, who was up for elimination a total of 8 times across her three seasons.

m. Jujubee has been followed by the number 3 in her Drag Race experience.

• She has competed on three seasons (Season 2, All Stars 1, and All Stars 5).
• She placed around the 3rd placement every time she competed: she came in 3rd on Season 2, 3rd/4th on All Stars 1 and 2nd/3rd on All Stars 5.
• She is the only contestant in herstory to make it three times to the finale.
• She won a Maxi Challenge for the first time in episode 3 of All Stars 5.
• She lost a lip-sync for the first time in episode 3 of All Stars 5.
• She is one of the two only queens who competed in three ball challenges (along with Alexis Mateo).
• She landed in the bottom three times in each season she was on.
• She was the 33rd Drag Race contestant to reach 1 million followers on Instagram on August 15, 2020.
• Jujubee's final lip-sync look in All Stars 5 was designed by her fellow contestant India Ferrah.

5. Kim Chi

Kim Chi

Kim Chi adalah nama panggung Sang-Young Shin (), waria, penampil, penata rias, dan salah satu runner-up RuPaul's Drag Race Musim 8 (bersama Naomi Smalls). Lahir pada tanggal 8 Agustus 1987 merupakan keturunan Korea Selatan-Amerika. 

Penghargaan, Kehidupan Pribadi, dan Acara Shows: 

a. Kim Chi was born in the USA but moved to South Korea, there living as a child.

b. In the eighth episode of S8 Ru said that Kim's make-up is inspired by performance artist, Leigh Bowery.

c. Her biological mother doesn't know she does drag.

d. She first started doing drag with Pearl on Halloween.

e. She helped All-Stars 3 winner Trixie Mattel get her 1st gig as a drag queen in Chicago, Illinois. According to Trixie, they used to share a bed, as well as makeup, and even make out with each other.

f. She's 7 feet tall in heels, and only learned to walk on them after Season 8.

g. She was the 1st contestant to win a main challenge in Season 8.

h. She is the 1st contestant to go on to win the 1st main challenge and be in the bottom of the second challenge (excluding All Stars).

i. She was the only Season 8 contestant to not lip-sync before the music video challenge.

j. She's one of the only five to win the 1st and the last challenge in their season, along with Sharon Needles, Violet Chachki, Monique Heart and Trinity the Tuck. But, unlike Sharon, Violet, and Trinity, she and Monique didn't win their season. She is also the only one to not win a challenge in between the first and last challenges.

k. She has a show with Naomi Smalls on World of Wonder called "M.U.G."

l. She was the first contestant to use the Shade Tree on Season 8.

m. She is nicknamed "Shade Chi" by fans, due to her tendency to post shady comments on Twitter and Instagram.

n. She's the third runner-up who never placed in the Bottom 2 while the winner of her season did, the others are Nina Flowers and Alaska.

o. She's a fan of the video game franchise "Danganronpa" (her favorite game), as well as the music group LOO.

p. Further evidence of the latter was during her Roast outfit in Celebrity Drag Race references to LOO's Go Won during her solo debut and music video "One and Only"

q. It was rumored that she was asked to be on "All Stars 3", but declined.

r. Season 11 contestant Soju was confused for Kim Chi. Kim did help Soju get outfits.

s. Kim Chi was a guest judge on a British show called GLOW UP.

t. Kim Chi appeared in a 2020 SuperBowl ad for Sabra Hummus, along with Miz Cracker.

u. Kim was a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race: Live in Las Vegas. Other contestants include Derrick Barry, Naomi Smalls, and Shannel.

6. Kimora Blac

Kimora Blac

Kimora Blac adalah nama panggung Von Nguyen, seorang penampil drag dari Las Vegas, Nevada. Dia adalah salah satu dari 14 ratu waria yang menjadi kontestan yang bersaing di musim ke-9 RuPaul Drag Race (RPDR). Dia adalah ratu kedua yang tersingkir dan berakhir di posisi ke-13. Kimora lahir pada tanggal 15 Desember 1988 merupakan keturunan Vietnam-Amerika. Nama depannya mengacu pada model dan desainer mode Kimora Lee, sedangkan nama belakangnya diambil dari model dan pengusaha Blac Chyna.

7. Manila Luzon

Manila Luzon adalah tokoh reality TV keturunan Filipina-Amerika-Jerman-Swedia dan waria (drag queen) yang diperankan oleh Karl Philip Michael Westerberg lahir 10 Agustus 1981. Dia menjadi terkenal setelah finis sebagai runner-up musim ketiga RuPaul Drag Race. Selama musim debutnya, Manila terbukti menjadi kekuatan yang harus diperhitungkan dalam acara kompetisi waria ini. Ia menunjukkan beragam keterampilan berbeda yang memperkuat statusnya sebagai pelari terdepan. Luzon mengambil bagian dalam beberapa momen pertunjukan yang paling terkenal; seperti pernyataan fesyennya yang terkenal, terpisah dari klik The Heathers dan sinkronisasi bibirnya terhadap Delta Work. Prestasi ini membuktikan dia layak menjadi finalis untuk mahkota, di mana dia kalah tipis dari teman baik dan teman klik Heather Raja selama final, di mana dia berada di tempat kedua pada Musim 3 (2011).

Karena bakat, fesyen, dan kehadirannya yang karismatik, Manila adalah kunci yang kokoh untuk seri pertama All Stars series. Dengan sedikit koneksi yang sudah ada sebelumnya, Luzon ditempatkan di tim dengan Latrice Royale musim keempat. Keduanya dipandang sebagai tim yang tidak diunggulkan, karena mereka tidak sedekat mungkin dengan tim lain. Meskipun demikian, mereka memenangkan tantangan pertama. Dengan kesalahan kecil selama minggu ketiga, Latrice dan Manila siap untuk dieliminasi melawan Raven dan Jujubee. Luzon segera dikalahkan, melenyapkan dia dan Royale. Mereka finis di tempat ketujuh/delapan. Manila, bersama dengan mitra All Stars-nya Latrice Royale, diundang kembali ke RuPaul's Drag Race (RPDR) untuk bersaing di All Stars 4 sebagai individu peserta drag queen. 

Manila Luzon mengukuhkan dirinya sebagai pelari terdepan dalam kompetisi sekali lagi, memenangkan tiga tantangan berturut-turut. Namun, kemenangan beruntun ini berakhir setelah dia berjuang dalam tantangan makeover dengan suaminya selama kunjungan orang yang dicintai. Dianggap sebagai pesaing kuat untuk mahkota dan ancaman strategis di mata ratu yang tersisa, Naomi Smalls, yang memenangkan tantangan minggu itu, menarik lipstik Luzon dan mengirimnya pulang saat pertama kali dieliminasi; menyebabkan keributan di fandom Drag Race. Dia selesai di tempat keenam. Tumbuh di Cottage Grove, Minnesota, sebagian besar orang yang dia kenal berkulit putih dan sebagian besar waria berkulit putih atau hitam. Dia berpikir bahwa membawa warisan Asia akan menyenangkan untuk menjadi identitasnya saat tampil di RPDR. Dia ingin merayakan warisan Filipina-nya jadi dia memilih Manila, yang merupakan ibu kota Filipina tempat ibunya dilahirkan. 

Dia pikir itu terdengar bagus. Dia juga menyukai gagasan bahwa "pria" ada di namanya, dan Manila memiliki jumlah suku kata yang sama dengan Madonna. Luzon adalah pulau di mana ibukota Manila berada, dan merupakan pulau terbesar dan terpadat di Filipina. Setelah penampilannya di acara itu, Manila tetap sangat aktif dalam komunitas LGBT.  Dia telah menjadi seorang aktivis yang kuat dalam hal dukungan dan penelitian HIV/AIDS - Dia menjadi headline di alumni University of Philippines di Minnesota. Dalam iklan televisi berjudul "Red Ribbon Runway", dia tampil dengan gaun desainer yang kemudian dilelang oleh Logo TV untuk mendanai penelitian AIDS. 

Buzzfeed memeringkatnya dari 27 orang Filipina yang membuat orang Filipina atau Filipina-Amerika bangga menjadi Pinoy. Manila telah merilis delapan single musikal terlaris yang memuncaki tangga lagu, "Hot Couture", "The Chop" (dengan Latrice Royale), "Best XXXccessory", "Lady Marmalade" (Cover with the Heathers), "Bring it" (dengan Jinkx Monsoon ), "One Night in Bangkok", "Eternal Queen" dan "Helen Keller" (dengan Cazwell). Dia juga muncul sebagai profesor di RuPaul's Drag U. Dia adalah salah satu ratu paling sukses dan populer dari semua musim pertunjukan RPDR. Dia dinobatkan sebagai ratu yang paling disukai No. 6 dan ratu yang naik daun No. 8 di Drag Official. Dia telah diverifikasi sebagai selebriti di Facebook dan Twitter.  Manila Luzon  dipilih sebagai All Stars oleh fans. Bahkan Dragopolis, game bertema Drag Race, memiliki bagian di mana Anda benar-benar bisa menjadi Manila Luzon dan melawan boneka. Kecerdasan, bakat, humble, komedian, dan sikap cerianya sangat populer di kalangan penggemarnya (dijuluki "Fanilas"). Meskipun dia seorang minoritas seksual berdarah Asia, Manila berusaha menampilkan sisi positif dari Asianness (ke-Asia-an) bahwa bangsa Asia juga menjunjung keberagaman dengan identitas seksual sebagai LGBT.

a. Manila is the first and only queen to win the first challenge (All Stars 1), the Snatch Game (All Stars 4), the Makeover (Season 3), and the Ball (Season 3) throughout her entire Drag Race run.

• She was the second queen to win all the 3 challenges that the fandom considers are the most important ones (The Snatch Game, Makeover and Ball) throughout her entire Drag Race run, with Chad Michaels being the first one.
• Her other rejected drag names were :
  • Minnie Soda
  • Vagina Davis
  • Anna Mayporn

b. She stated in her Feeling Fruity episode, that she was bisexual before turning fully gay. Also, in All Stars 4, Manila shared she had high school ex-girlfriends (she named a few of them; Christine, Elizabeth, and Alaya) before deciding to come out.

c. Her first kiss was with her high school girlfriend, who was a year older than she was because Manila Luzon liked her women older back then. She said it was thrilling, but she would never kiss a girl again.

d. Her black and blond streak hair was not always her look, as she used to switch between black wigs and blond wigs. Her signature hair was actually suggested by Sahara Davenport before she was casted for Season 3.

e. She is lactose intolerant, as she stated on the behind the scenes on her music video for "Ice Cream".

f. She has no drag mother. But she considers RuPaul, Ongina, and the early NYC-scene as her inspiration in doing drag.

g. Manila is the first queen to have 3 challenges wins in a regular season and 3 challenge wins in an All Star season.

• Manila's combined 7 challenge wins ties her with BenDeLaCreme and Trinity The Tuck for most number of challenges won across multiple American seasons.
• If the international versions of Drag Race are counted she, BenDeLaCreme, and Trinity would be surpassed by Fernanda Brown of The Switch Drag Race, who has amassed 10 challenge wins, although the format is very different.

h. She is the fifth queen to win 3 consecutive challenges, after Chad Michaels and Shannel (Team Shad) in All Stars 1, Alaska in All Stars 2, and BenDeLaCreme in All Stars 3.

She was planning to wear a maxi pad dress for the Curves and Swerves: Padded for the Gods runway in All Stars 4 as a campy yet bold approach to the theme, but production told her not to wear it after she initially asked for permission. Her outfit on the show was her backup option. Ru also stated that the maxi pad dress was in "bad taste."

• She later posted a picture of her modeling the dress on her Instagram page. This became, at the time, the most-liked Instagram post by any queen who had ever competed on Drag Race, having received over 368,000 likes.
• This record has since been eclipsed by Brooke Lynn Hytes' tribute post on her Instagram to Vanessa Vanjie Mateo following Vanjie's Season 11 elimination, which has a current record of over 430,000 likes.

j. Manila is the first queen to win a maxi challenge on three different seasons of Drag Race, and she has since been followed by Latrice Royale.

k. Manila, along with Mont X Change, is one of the first two queens to receive immunity following a win since Season 5, as well as the first queen to receive immunity in two separate seasons.

l. Manila, Detox, BenDeLaCreme, and Miz Cracker are the only queens to get all three types of wins on an All Stars season: win both the challenge and the lipsync, win the challenge but lose the lipsync, and have a lip-sync tie.

m. She reached 1 million followers on Instagram on February 10, 2019, becoming the 18th queen in herstory to reach this milestone.

n. She is also the first (and thus far, only) queen who competed on All Stars 1 that has at least 1 million Instagram followers.

o. Manila is the second queen to have been both a winner (Season 3) and eliminated (All Stars 4) on the makeover challenge, after Mont X Change.

s. She is the first drag queen host of the Pit Stop not to have won a season.

t. She was the first queen to be revealed in the casting call for Season 3.

u. Manila currently co-hosts a podcast with All Stars 1 team-mate Latrice Royale called The Chop, executive produced by Alaska and Willam, on the ForeverDog and Moguls of Media networks. The show (inspired by Alaska and Willam's Race Chaser podcast) reviews each episode of Canada's Drag Race and Drag Race Holland with the two queens each giving their "top" and "chop" moments of each episode. Both Alaska and Willam have appeared as guests on the podcast.

v. Luzon was in a relationship with Season 2's Sahara Davenport for six years prior to his death. Davenport died at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland on October 1, 2012, due to heart failure. The first episode of All Stars 1 was dedicated to Davenport and, during the episode, Luzon stated that she would do her best to carry on Davenport's legacy as well as thanking her friends, family, and fans for their support through the grieving. She then released the song "Eternal Queen" as a tribute to Davenport. 

w. On November 16, after several years together, she proposed to her boyfriend, Michael Alvarez in the middle of a performance at LemonLab in Santiago, Chile. The couple wed at the Silver Bells Wedding Chapel, with an Elvis impersonator as the officiant on December 24, 2017.
