As we already know that online learning has become an alternative path for the student's learning process, due to the pandemic situation or covid-19 virus that has occurred in the last 2 years or so.

Where the student learning process which is usually carried out face-to-face is now being replaced by online learning, in order to keep teaching and learning activities carried out even in a state of constrained conditions.

This online learning system was chosen as an alternative because it is difficult to carry out face-to-face learning activities, due to the social distancing imposed by the government in order to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Online learning or we can call it A Learning Management System is an internet-based learning system that aims to facilitate users, both lecturers and students in the learning process.

This can be done using several applications, such as applications for video conferencing like google meet or zoom and also a websites provided by educational institutions such as google forms and e-learning.

For example in Pamulang University, the Learning Management System (LMS) used for the learning process is E-Learning, which is a website created by Pamulang University. Usually you are required to actively discuss then there will be a value in the course.

The aims of implementing Pamulang University's E-learning is to make it easier for students to understand the content or lecture material. Pamulang University's e-learning functions as a learning tool that can be accessed by students to study the content of lecture materials.

How to access this website by entering your NIM and password. This website contains many meetings, for now the available meetings are 14 meetings and do not include exam forums (Mid Term Test and Final Test).

The benefits of LMS itself that we can get are quite a lot, I think including LMS plays an important role in replacing our learning methods during emergency situations such as this pandemic. Our learning process doesn't stop because with this LMS, we don't have to come to campus or other schools to keep learning.

Through this LMS, it is enough to access the website that has been specially created and made available by the University of Pamulang. The website is sufficient to facilitate students and lecturers in carrying out teaching and learning activities at any time depending on the deadline for each policy from the lecturer.

That means we can save more time and energy because we don't come directly to Campus, but only through cellphones or PCs. If you consider the cost, you can say it is also more economical. Because our expenses are only based on pulses or internet quotas to support our network to connect to the LMS website.

When compared to offline or face-to-face lectures apart from credit or internet quota, we also need costs for accommodation such as if we use public transportation or private vehicles, besides that consumption is also included in the costs that will be incurred when lectures are conducted offline or face to face.

Then the challenges of this LMS are the first regarding the network which is sometimes inaccessible due to the instability of the internet network so that it hinders the online learning process.

If this happens, usually we can only wait for the network to stabilize again, considering that the large number of LMS users who are online is the cause of the unstable network.

The next challenges are about the features of this LMS. The many features that we can use can be a challenge in itself, for example the features found in discussion forums, we can have discussions by replying like normal text by attaching files, links or images.

It's actually quite easy but the challenge itself is that the size capacity for the attachment is limited so we have to minimize the size of the file that we will attach by converting the document into a pdf, usually like that. If we don't do this, the file that we will attach will automatically be rejected or cannot be upoladed.

Last part is about the expectation for this LMS is that this website can develop into an application, where we as a users will find it easier to access and it will be easier to get notifications from our LMS.

Among them, if the lecturer has uploaded materials, assignments, discussion questions and exam task, we can find out immediately because of the notification of this. Cause the system is an automatic website, we still have to independently check regularly all assignments and materials given by the lecturer so that they are not left behind.

My second expectations if the first expectation can't be realized is that this LMS network can always be stable where the capacity for the number of users can be increased because usually the system will disconnect itself if too many users are online on this LMS.

So with the way, we as a users don't have to worry about access to this LMS being hampered and of course will more effectively and efficiently in the online learning process through this Learning Management System LMS.
