Dad's Back

The body is frail and short

Looks fragile like glass

But apparently, it's as hard as iron

Harder and tougher

Dad's back is a pillar

Protects anything in his arms

Dad's back is the roof

Shade anything underneath

It was strong and kept going

Protect the loves in his heart

A strong reason for that toughness

A strong reason the back continues to struggle

Dad, when you're tired

Let your loves hug your back

Let your loves make you shady

Replace your back as a pillars and roof

Punggung Ayah

Badannya ringkih dan pendek
Terlihat rapuh seperti kaca
Tapi ternyata, itu sekeras besi
Lebih keras dan tangguh

Punggung ayah adalah pilar
Melindungi apa pun di pelukannya
Punggung ayah adalah atapnya
Meneduhi apa pun di bawahnya

Itu kuat dan terus berjalan
Lindungi cinta di hatinya
Alasan kuat untuk ketangguhan itu
Alasan kuat punggung terus berjuang

Ayah, ketika kamu lelah
Biarkan cintamu memeluk punggungmu
Biarkan cintamu membuatmu teduh
Menggantikan punggungmu sebagai pilar dan atap

I wrote this poem while thinking about the good memories I had with my father. My father who looks strong and weak at the same time. I wrote this long before Father's Day, but I just published it on Father's Day as a gift for my dear dad. My father who worked hard to support his love at home, me, my mother and my younger siblings. I want to be a successful person so that I can hug my father's back, can replace my father's back as a protector and roof for my beloved family. To my dad, happy Father's Day!!! I love you 3,000!
