Abstract
This book is a documentation of several works that look at society, individuals and law from various points of view. These works critically not only use formal objects from one discipline, but also from various disciplines. They are challenging the sociology of law which is usually taught in Law Faculty classrooms. This lawsuit not only concerns the material objects of his observation, namely society, individuals and law in a world that is helter-skelter, but also the perspective he uses. So far, legal sociology has sometimes seemed positivistic, wanting to follow the trend of positivistic legal science methodology rigor. Legal Sociology has become so proud of its own methodology that it often does not want to see Legal Anthropology, or any other, within the same range of disciplines, namely sociolegal studies.

Hukum merupakan hal yang lahir dari adat istiadat. Meski merupakan bayang-bayang adat, namun diketahui didukung oleh kekuasaan negara. Kebudayaan dan adat istiadat tradisional berangsur-angsur berubah seiring dengan perubahan lingkungan hidup, namun hanya ada sedikit ruang untuk perubahan mendasar.
