Sekilas CONSAL
Tahun 1969 di Puncak-Bogor diadakan Konferensi Sumber Bahan Penelitian se Asia Tenggara dihadiri oleh para sarjana, arsiparis dan pustakawan terkemuka di Asia Tenggara. Dlam pertemuan inilah digagas untuk membentuk organisasi pustakawan yang sifatnya regional se Asia Tenggara. Tercetuslah nama CONSAL yang didirikan oleh lima negara Asia Tenggara yaitu Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipina, Sinagapura, dan Thailand
