1. Limitations of Political Influence
Although support from Muslim countries is often vocal in international forums, their political influence is often limited. UN resolutions in favor of Palestine are often ignored or vetoed by powerful countries such as the United States.
2. Internal Fragmentation
In the Muslim world itself, there is fragmentation and division that can weaken joint efforts. Sectarian conflicts, political strife, and national interests often hamper collective efforts to support Palestine.
3. International Pressure
Pressure from powerful countries and international organizations could limit the ability of Muslim countries to support Palestine effectively. Economic sanctions, diplomatic pressure, and military threats are some of the forms of pressure that are often faced.
Political culture plays a very important role in shaping the Muslim community's response to the genocide in Palestine. Strong religious identity, the influence of clerics, the principles of solidarity and justice, and a history of anti-colonialism and anti-imperialism all contribute to strong solidarity with the Palestinian people. However, this response is also influenced by factors such as domestic politics, global influence, media and information, and economic factors. Despite the many challenges, solidarity and support from the Muslim community remain an important force in the struggle for justice in Palestine.
