[Telisik Literasi] Keinginan Sapardi Dilafaz Cinta Gibran

Who shall inscribe the name of the present generation in the scrolls of Time, who they are and where they are? I do not find them among the many "nightingales of the Nile and the warblers of Syria and Lebanon," but among the few whose lips and hearts have been touched by a new fire. Of those some are still within the womb of Creative Silence; some are breathing the air we breathe, and treading the ground we tread. Of the latter -, nay, leading the latter - is the poet of Night and Solitude, the poet of Loneliness and Melancholy, the poet of Longing and Spiritual Awakening, the poet of the sea and the Tempest - Gibran Kahlil Gibran.

Again in Mother Earth the artist portrays men and women, rooted to the earth and at the same time endowed with the transformational and unifying power of fire, expressed in The Earth Gods thus:

Behold, man and woman/ Flame to flame/ In white ecstasy// Roots that suck at the breast of purple earth/ Flame flowers at the breasts of the sky// And we are the purple breast/ And we are the enduring sky// Our soul, even the soul of life, your soul and mine/ Dwells this night in a throat enflamed/ And garments the body of a girl with beating waves// Your sceptre cannot sway this destiny/ Your weariness is but ambition// This and all is wiped away// In the passion of a man and a maid//

Dari rujukan ini dapat saya simpulkan, bahwa dalam karya-karya Gibran tidak ada dua bait yang menggabungkan enam kata kunci yang terdapat pada puisi yang dipolemikkan, sehingga dapat dipastikan bahwa TIDAK PERNAH ADA puisi berjudul Lafaz Cinta karya Khalil Gibran. Uji literasi membuktikan bahwa secara eksistensial, syair pada puisi di bawah ini adalah sah milik Sapardi Djoko Damono:
