According to Wikipedia, friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people. Those people who have friendship can be a girl with other girls, boy with other boys, or it can be boys and girls. 

Most people say that if boy and girl have friendship, they would can't be separated from love feelings between both of them and that kind of feeling can ruin their friendship. It is common thought that some people don't want to confess their feelings about they have been falling in love with their best friend. 

I agree with that thought, because you can't read other people's mind of you and maybe your best friend not feel the same way with you. However, the existence of love between boy and girl in some friendship is not a bad thing, maybe dating your best friend can be your best decision you ever made in your life.

Being loved with person who know you better is the luckiest thing in this world. When you are spending time together, you don't need to pretend be another person in front of him/her, it is such an incredible thing in this world. 

Although, you will lose one person who will listen your story when you have a problem in your relationship, in fact, you can just directly solve the problem between both of you without need other people suggestions.

In conclusion, it is not bad thing to try dating your best friend. Even, you don't know about what his/her feeling about you, at least you better try than never to take the chance.
