MY GREAT CHARACTER
LEARNING WITH MATH
What do you know about math? Maybe people will call it numbers, calculations, structure, logic, compilation, or opportunities as the answer. Or maybe the other answers are difficult to predict. No wonder if 90% peoples just show his/her regular expression just when they hear “math”. Because I think the math is familiar word in or life.
Mathematics is a very complex form of learning. Since the early, people will has a deal with mathematics that will impact from small things until give the effect on a person's character. Character formed by the process that lasted continuously on the same subject. This also applies to humans to be characterized by appropriate mathematical program because early humans had to deal with mathematics.
Learning math is not just solving the problems created by a person, but rather the completion of a conflict or the situation itself. As business debts of a bank's income statement, even complex mathematical calculations in favor of a recognition of the inventor of the most number of digits behind the comma from the calculation of "phi".
Talking about math and learning math, I may as well talk about life and learning that inadvertently I get to shape the character in me. First Level
When the Play Group and Kindergarten Schools
Teachers teach children aged Play Group and Kindergarten School to recognize numbers. For example, I might not to someone without my judged know and recognize that person in advance by writing what I catch out of me in my heart, read the situation or atmosphere in my brain, and simultaneously calculate the likelihood that I can take as a result end with my logic.
Second Level
At Primary School
Learning math at the elementary school began to spread. In this second level, there are demands for more start processing the data such as multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, powers, rooting, etc. If at first level with more emphasis on the introduction / start process, second-level invited to incorporate what has been recognized to be a new object, a whole new outcome.
In everyday life, the second level took me to interact with life around. No longer as an individual whole, because the individual has limited rights, the rights of others. As the number 6 which have not always are number 6 if processed with other numbers.
Level Three
At Junior High School and Senior High School
High School invites a person to raise its level of difficulty learning math as well. This level has created conflicts that require small step process double or even more. In this level is starting to get to know the system-the system in its processing. Trig is not forever dwelling in sin, cos; tan, etc because it could be processed in the system trigonometric integrals.
At High School I felt my character was forged as a result from systems around me in a process. I do not anymore as a individuals that are restricted by the rights of others, but me and others is a unified whole that has goals and ideals of the same to be fought. Despite being one, I must be myself so did others in his own convictions. Will give rise to conflicts and the return must be processed to find the end result.
Level Four
University and Community
No more teachers that guide us to learn mathematic. Teachers we are ourselves, the lives of yourself and others, as well as analysis of the environment around us. Lecturers only directs, then depending on the steps taken. Math also looks very wide, need specs. In a society does look more simple, just the application of math in everyday life.
At this level, my character has been formed from the end of the process that is created from the previous levels. It is still possible to change, but it's not an easy matter. Only the environment the majority of my characters to control the final result. Therefore, in this level I hope to get an environment that supports the formation of character, or more precisely polishing the characters have been created. I am grateful to enter mathematics jurdik State University of Yogyakarta (UNY) because my logic says this is the place of character that will support anyone, including me, being a good person. A little play mathematical logic:
Premise 1: If you want to be individuals with good character, then look for an environment characterized by
Premise 2:If searching for an environment that character, then enter the environment UNY
Premise 3: If you want to enter the environment UNY, so the student math jurdik UNY
If you want to be individuals with good character, so the student math UNY
Level Five
Everywhere You Stay
There is a saying anonymity said, effective learning is learning that we get from the environment where we are. Here there is no supervisor at all other than conscience and our own minds.
I just feel this level is not actually a real level. Can not be categorized as the final level or initial level because this level is side by side along with the other levels earlier.
This raises a level of values or views. Here are some examples of the results or the value of these five levels:
ÀBuild Space: Brotherhood will be more robust if we connect Hospitality. Character for mutual respect, love, united in kindness.
ÀArithmetic series: Although it looks different, the true human being has the potential of different kinds, but one value to another. Character to be grateful with what is in us and not arrogant because it's the same man (in the presence of God)
ÀMathematical Logic: In our study we have trained mathematical logic logical reason to think we are growing and increasingly sensitive to what is happening around. Both are related to us or not. Characters that are sensitive to the environment and others.
ÀCircle: the world is rounding, not endless. Similarly, science is abundant on earth. The circle teaches us to continue to explore the potential that exists, not easily discouraged. Creating a personal thirst for knowledge, scholarship, and curiosity. By adhering to these characters, not deny when the discovery after discovery will continue to be found and there will be no more people want to commit suicide because of despair because of a belief that this is not over if not already terminated the Creator.
ÀThe set: The set can form a wedge which is a combination of the set with the set the other one. In fact children can not go round regardless of the combination of a set owned by his parents naturally. But may change due to environmental factors around. To embed it in character, not the character fully formed child of his parents' genetic factor because it is only small. Environmental influences are more dominant around forming one's personal character.
ÀVector: A scale is said to be a vector if it has value, and direction. Similarly, people who already have their respective value in themselves determine the direction for where to live or what steps will be chosen for his life, for his character.
ÀTrigonometry: Life is nothing is certain. Sometimes form a junction and complex calculations, which can not be rounded (rationalized). For that we need the help of trigonometry, we need the help of others in living our lives. Then it will slowly form a personal, social skill, can put themselves in the environment and balancing the rights and obligations on the basis of caring neighbor and respect the rights of others.
Well, my character is formed because I was learning math.
