  ABSTRACT

The ability to cooperate is a very important social process for early childhood as a goal to foster a asense of affection, introduce an attitude of mutual cooperation and teach children to want to share because children aged 4-5 years still have an egocentric attitude, one og the ways applied to be improving children's collaboration skills is by choosing the right learning method, namely the project method. The purpose of this study was to improve children's collaboration skills throught the group A children's project method at Cempaka Putih Semampir Surabayay Kindergarten, Surabaya.This type of research is collaborative classroom action research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggartmodels. 

This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consistingof three meetings. The subjects in this study were 18 children in group A TK Cempaka Putih Semampir Surabaya consisting of 9 boys and 9 girls. The object of this research is the ability of children's cooperative which includes the ability to interact, take responbility, and help each other. Data collection methods used are observation sheet. Data analysis techniques were carried out In a quantitative . The indicator of success in this research is when the calculation of the percentage of all aspects shows 76 %.

The results of the study showed that childrens cooperative abilities increased after class action through project method activities. From the pre-action activity data shows the percentage of the overall cooperation ability percentage is 47%. In cycle 1, the percentage of childrens cooperation ability as a whole is 63%. In cycle 2, the childs cooperation ability again increased to 83%. It can be said that this research was successful becauses the percentage has reached the specified figure, namely 76%.  

The ability to cooperate increases through the project method because the project method has a learning syntax that is different from other learning methods. The learning syntax used is the 2013 curriculum project method learning syntax, namely determining fundamental questions, preparing project planning, project implementation, and presenting results, this makes children more improve their ability to cooperate un terms of interacting with friends, responsibility, and helping each other.

  PENDAHULUAN

Kerjasama merupakan pondasi kegiatan yang harus dipupuk sejak usia dini sebagai dasar pembentukan sikap, oleh karena itu kemampuan kerjasama dapat dibentuk dengan mudah melalui pembiasaan yang bisa mengarah ke kemampuan kerjasama, sebab masa usia dini adalah masa kritis bagi pembentukan karakter seseorang. Pendidikan anak usia dini harus bisa menerapkan kegiatan yang dapat menstimulasi perkembangan kerjasama supaya dapat bekerjasama secara optimal, karena dapat bermanfaat untuk anak dimasa mendatang. Anak dapat bekerjasama secara optimal dapat dilihat dengan cara anak berinteraksi dengan teman sebayanya baik dilingkungan sekolah maupun lingkungan sekitarnya.
