Couchsurfing Indonesia: White Fetish, a New Term of Racism and Questions on Our Initial Friendliness

We, Indonesians are known as friendly and welcoming. If we can be friendly to foreigners, shouldn’t we be that helpful to our own people? As stated on its website, Couchsurfing aims to facilitate people from any parts of the world to share their life, create connection and have better understanding of other cultures. I am afraid that one day Couchsurfing Jakarta will be a platform for some people to fulfil their white fetish and discriminate certain groups of people.
