Abstract: This research is to know whether the application of peer tutorial methods can improve the ability of the students reading the Qur'an of Class XI which has material Q.S. Yunus 40-41, dan Q.S. Al Maidah : 32.
The subjects in this research are 18 students of XI at secon Semester Adiwiyata Senior High School. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) which consists of 3 cycles, namely cycle I, cycle II and cycle III. Each cycle is a series of activities consist of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection.
This class action research uses data collection methods, namely oral tests, observation sheets and documentation. Analysis of the data used by comparing the achievement of learning outcomes each cycle is marked by the improvement in minimum completeness criteria (KKM) or using descriptive-qualitative.
The result of the study is the increasing student ability to read the Qur'an of Class XI material Q.S. Yunus 40-41, dan Q.S. Al Maidah : 32. with peer tutorial method.
The average grade at the pre-cycle stage is 69.78, in the first cycle rose to 75.89, in the second cycle increased again to 79.10 and in the third cycle increased again to 81.56. And classical completeness at the pre-cycle stage of 22.2%, in the first cycle to 44.4%, in the second cycle increased again to 77.7% and in the third cycle increased again to 100%.
The results of the implementation of the third cycle has achieved full success, all students have exceeded the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) is 75. Based on the results of the ability to read the Qur'an can be concluded that through the method of peer tutorial can improve the student's ability to read the Qur'an of Class XI Q.S. Q.S. Yunus 40-41, dan Q.S. Al Maidah : 32 Years Of Study 2022-2023.
