As we probably noticed from media broadcasts that currently there were several huge long-marches in Gaza protesting the never ending conflicts in Palestine, where the brutality and the tragedy of humanity have been occurring and have killed thousands of innocent Palestinians and other civilians, especially children and women.
The tragedy has also caused many public facilities and other vital infrastructures destroyed. It has been correspondingly reported that the other huge protests have been similarly happening in some other countries throughout the world, for example, in France, Canada, and in Turkey, etc.
How about Indonesia? There were some massive protests for Gaza, and particularly some supports for Palestine in several big cities, for instance Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Makassar, etc; however they were many organized by nongovernment organisations!
Sometimes one may argue that Indonesia is a Muslim country, consequently, "it is a-must" that Indonesia should be in the forefront of protesting the horrible killing and dreadful bombing in Gaza and likewise; hence, it implies that it is an absolute obligation that its government and the people, which mostly as Muslim, give as many as possible the immediate supports to the other Muslim (country) in which were desperately suffering and experiencing 'the eternity calamities', such as in Gaza, Yemen, Syria, Uighur and Rohingya crisis in the form of solidarity, for example protests, logistics and funds/donations, boycotts, recommendations, declarations and whatever they are, which are necessarily and urgently needed.
However, to see in a rather big scale of protest and supports that other (developed) countries have carried out immensely, it seems that there would be still "a long way to go" for the Indonesian government. In my opinion, Â it could be imagined that, perhaps, how Indonesian government would pay much attentions and supports to the tragedy of humanity occurring globally if Indonesia itself has still got "all time catastrophes" as well that have to be recovered first as the country's priorities?
Similarly, to contribute the great supports to this catastrophic incidents overseas, it is a-must and an absolute obligation that the Indonesian government has to solve its internal problems immediately and simultaneously, particularly in eradication the poverty and corruptions, obtain and reform education and health systems, as well as provide good social security for its people.
In this way, good social consciousness, responsiveness, as well as the massive responses to the humanitarian tragedy worldwide could be built into the Indonesian government and its people's mindset exceptionally!*
