On October 24, 2024, FabLab Edu hosted a workshop focused on creative thinking for UPI students. This activity was led by Mrs. Miarti Khikmatun Nais, M.Pd., and participated in by chemistry students of FPMIPA UPI. The objective of the workshop was to design learning media using creative thinking to resolve certain problems.
The workshop began with an introduction to the concept of creative thinking, followed by dividing the participants into five groups where each group was tasked to empathize towards a specific persona and their problems learning chemistry. The activities conducted during empathize phase were presented by each group, resulting in innovative ideas based on creative thinking. Next, each group member provided opinions or ideas to solve the issues. Among these suggestions, one idea was chosen to design its prototype into chemistry learning media as a solution to those problems. Several teams proposed designs such as molecular models (molymods) and the Oxidation Number Matching Card Game, which would be printed using a 3D Printer.
