The Technology Behind Avatar (2009)

Sourced from Wikipedia, Avatar is a 2009 American science action fiction film directed, written, produced, and co-edited by James Cameron and starring Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Michelle Rodriquez as Trudy Chacon, and Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine. Avatar premiered in London on December 10, 2009, and was released in the United States on December 18 to positive reviews. During its theatrical run, the film broke several box office records and became the highest-grossing film at the time. Avatar remained the highest-grossing film worldwide for nearly a decade before overtaken by Avenger: Endgame in 2019. But Avatar remains the second highest-grossing movie to this day. 

Synopsis 

The film Avatar tells about planet Earth in the future which is facing a crisis for energy sources. Humans must find new sources of energy and how to do it is by searching for another planet that planet is called Pandora. Pandora has poisonous air and is inhabited by a native named Na'vi. Because Pandora has poisonous air to get into Pandora, the scientist Dr, Grace Agustinus used the Na'vi body media called "Avatar". 

A paralyzed ex-marine named Jake Sully replaces his late twin brother as an operator for one of the avatars. Dr. Grace promises to heal his leg if he succeeds in carrying out his task by finding a source of energy in Pandora and to find information about the life of Na'vi. While carrying out his duties, Jack was attacked by a predator and was saved by Neytiri, a woman from the Na'vi tribe. They finally get to know each other and the tribe made Jack see the truth of the Na'vi tribe and the real situation.

In the movie, maybe we wondering, how some kind of human invasion movie can teach us education with technology? That's when we see from the perspective of Na'vi (The blue alien avatar). But if we see the perspective from humans it actually can be some kind of educational tech.

The "Avatars" Technology

In the movie, human has invented and made many technology's, including bio-engineering. They have made Na'vi-human Hybrid (it means the body is Na'vi like but the inside actually is human genes) called "Avatars". This biology invention is very useful for many kinds, especially for study and science. By becoming one of the native Pandora's Biospheres (The planet where Na'vi lives), there are so much human can do, for example, they can study the behavior of Na'vi, the language of Na'vi, making a connection with Na'vi, and eventually, Na'vi can save the earth from crisis resources. But their main goal is just to invade with military power to gain resources.

If The "Avatars" Technology becomes real

If this technology becomes real, there is so much potential we can do with this. We can study other species by becoming one of their pack or colony. For example, we can study how ant's colonies work to make better job role when making a company, we can study how lion's pack hunting to make a better strategy when hunting a big animal, etc. So much we can do for education purposes with this tech.
