Being Single Is Better

 

Being single doesn’t mean I am not lovable. It means that I am still loyal enough to wait for someone whom I deserve to be with. Perhaps, some people think that when we are single, we may wonder whether there is something wrong with us. But, I disagree. As a religious person, I feel better being single than being in relationship. It means that at least I try to avoid something forbidden in my religion like fornication. Some people who are in relationship think that it is interesting to be always together and together. However, they don’t realize that it may go to something destructive for all of their life. That’s why I realize my past mistake of being in relationship, and now I decide to be single, patiently waiting for someone whom I want to live with forever and then living happily ever after like in a fairy tale until the death separate us.

            I still remember my past relationship when I was in my senior high school. Like what others did, I liked to go out and spent time together with my boyfriend. I do really enjoy that moment because besides him, life seemed beautiful. In one way, I enjoy every single moment when we are together. In the other way, I am really bored when I had to go with him and his friends. I feel like in a strange place. It seemed like there was no room for me to speak and had a little chat with him. He was busy talking to his friends. But, now I am single and free to go anywhere I want.

            Nowadays, we know that most of people being in relationship are not always happy. Sometimes, they have to face their dark side of life. For example, when a woman has been split by her boyfriend, she will be desperate and depressed. Even, it may drive her into something fatal like suicide and the addiction of drugs, narcotics, or drinking.

            Being single is not a problem. It is both solution and prevention for something bad and dangerous. I don’t care what people say about it. I will do everything I want because I myself am the one who will bear the consequences. Everything we choose has its own risk. Being single or not is our choice. I believe that everyone have their soul mate. It is just about faith and time.
