I think Gayus can be a strong president candidate for the 2014 presidential election. He has almost everything a presidential candidate needs to to win the election. Let me explain you one by one. First, he has popularity. I believe most people in this country know who Gayus is. I think he is more popular than people like Tifatul Sembiring, Dewi Persik, Nurdin Halid, and Irfan Bachdim. Such a popularity is obviously a good start for him to run for presidential election. Second, he has a lot of money. He can bribe anyone he wants, regardless of how much money he should spend for bribery. One indicator showing us that he has a lot of money is his passport expenditure. When general people like me is only able to spend maximum 100 dollars to get a passport, he is willing to spend $100 thousands dollars to get a passport. I believe you also still remember that he gave 50 millions rupiah per month and 5 millions rupiah per week to officers to allow him travel around while he was in detention. Only a very rich person can provide the officers with such amount of money. Even the state would not be able to give them such amounts of salary (IDR 50 millions/month, and IDR 5 millions/week). Hence, Gayus is extremely rich, and he has more than enough money to run for presidential election. Third, he is a strong person. Do you still remember how Indonesian authority arrested him while he was in Singapore? Did the authority arrested him on the spot while they knew his position? The answer is NO! The authority needed to persuade him and even negotiate with him in order to bring him back to Indonesia. Do you also still remember how he could easily travel to Bali, Macau, Kuala Lumpur while he actually has to be in jail? Do you remember how the authority, especially the police, responded to this? Did they give you a quick response or did they showed you a more puzzle to confuse about? Only a strong person could make the authority "memble" and mock the law system. Fourth, like many politicians who love promises, Gayus also loves to promise! He promises us to clean this country from corruption, if the government appoints him to be an expert staff of the police chief  or the attorney general. I know, it is just a promise. But, remember, politicians have to promise something, right? No politician without promise. And Gayus is learning to be one of them. So, give him opportunity to realize his promise. That is by giving him not just a chance to be a staff of the police chief nor the attorney general, but by giving him a chance to run for presidential election. The only weaknesses that he has are two. First, he is not Javanese. Common wisdom in this country says that the Indonesian president "has" to be a Javanese. And Gayus is not culturally a Javanese. So, my suggestion to Gayus is: Please, Mas Gayus Tambunan... Please wear Blangkon, learn Javanese language, and put a Javanese name along with your name (e.g., Joko Gayus, Gayus Tukijo, Sugayus, or something like that lah!) I hope, by adopting all of these things, you (Gayus) can be at least pseudo-Javenese. The second weakness is that he does not belong to any political party. Since current political parties are unlikely to nominate him as a president candidate, I suggest Gayus to form his own party. The name of the party is up to him! He can call his party: Partai Golongan Gayus (Golyus), Partai Gayus Sejahtera (PGS), Partai Gayus Indonesia Perjuangan (PGIP), Partai Gayus Demokrat (PGD), Partai Amanat Gayus (PAG), Partai Kebangkitan Gayus (PKG), Partai Hati Nurani Gayus (Hanuga), etc. All of these are good names, but Gayus is free to look for the other options for his party name. So please, Gayus, please be one of the Indonesian president candidate in the next 2014 election! I am sure many Indonesians will vote for you. Hidup, Gayus!
