Characters in the Movie "ETERNALS"

Abstract
This article will deal with the characters of the movie Eternals which has a different character. The characters in this Eternals movie have different backgrounds, have different powers and they were created from Arishem. The characters in the film have a calestial given from Arishem to the ten existing characters.

Introduction
Hello everyone, maybe some of us have watched this movie and the movie was my choice because it has some characters that caught my attention and of course from you guys too. This film is a story that has a rather complex back-and-forth storyline. This film tells the story of a group of immortal alien race called "Eternals".Â
They were sent to earth thousands of years ago by their creator Celestial Arishem. This is done so that they can protect humanity from the threat of the Deviants race which is their enemy. After defeating the Deviants, each member of the Eternals lived in peace on Earth, until their enemy finally returned.
The film opens with the arrival of the ten members of the Eternals to earth about 7 thousand years BC. They then immediately save humanity from the threat of the Deviants race who invaded Earth while helping human civilization a little. so, they should not be involved in human affairs or conflicts but if it is only related to the threat of Deviants.Â
After the last Deviants on earth were defeated in 1521, the ten members of the alien race then decided to live separately, and await orders from Arishem to return. However, 5 centuries later when civilization was more modern, Deviants appeared again threatening human safety. This also makes them finally regroup to fight the Deviants.
So, the summary of this film tells the story of the ten characters that were created from thousands of years ago and some of the characters in this film are of interest to me. So I want to analyze and explain from my understanding of the characters in this Eternals movie. Inside, this article I will re-explain from my analysis of the characters in this Eternals film.
Analysis
Before we dive into my analysis of this Eternals film, let's first understand what the character is mean. Characterization is the most human element in a film, if we are not interested in the characters or characters,then it is unlikely that we will be interested in the film as a whole(Sani,1992:53).Â
In my opinion, character is an important internal basis of screenplay in films, novels, and short stories. So that the audience or readers can understand the feelings of the characters in a story or movie. The characters depicted in the film Eternals have the same goal of helping Humans, but at the end of the film there are two characters who are opposite their original goals. So, from some they only follow the will of their creator to destroy humans on earth.
*Protagonist
 The protagonist is a character who presents things according to the view and expectations of the reader. Describes good and positive disposition. The protagonist can absorb empathy and attention from the reader.
*Antagonists
 The protagonist's opponent. Antagonist became one of the leading causes of conflict in the story. It is a poor and negative depiction of character. Generally hated by readers. But in some stories, authors also give a considerable portion to antagonists and thus hold the reader's attention.
*The trinitarian
 The tritagonic is also called the third or arbiter character. Describes a wise character. Serves as a peacemaker or bridge over conflict resolution. It usually appears asa character who solves a problem in a story.
*Figurines
 It is a less significant character or role in the enlightenment. Extras are also called extras. Different from the classifying of the three preceding characters, it is ranked among the type of figures by the importance of the role.
In this Eternals film, there are players with different characters. There are fourth of the characters that I will explain according to my understanding in this film. The character of Ikaris, he is the third generation of Eternals who were born 20 thousand years ago.Â
The second character is Thena, she has the ability to fly, telepathy, and high speed. The third character is Ajak, she is described as a woman who has a motherly heart and is the most code wise in Eternals, she also cares very much for the other members and the human race.Â
Fourthly, she is Sersi which is the character I like the most because she has empathy for humans. The fifth, Gilgamesh who is the strongest character in Eternals.The sixth, Druig who is a quiet person and whose power controls human power using his telepathy.
The seventh, Makkari who has super fast powers but she can't talk. The eighth, Phastos who was someone who could make technological advances in those days. The ninth, Kingo, he has the power of cosmic energy, and lastly, Sprite who has the power to manipulate and create illusions.
Main Characters in Eternals
For the main character, there are ten main characters and they are creations which for the purpose of awakening the soul of their creator who only wants to destroy the earth. I think that's the main character ikaris and sersi. For the first player character, Ikaris, he is the main character whose character is antagonisticÂ
From the beginning he was created only out of respect and obey the orders of his creator, at first he seemed to help the other main players. But, at the end of the film, it turns out that he only obeyed the creator's wishes. And for the player of the second character is Sersi, she has a soul that wants to help humans and she also has a very kind and humble disposition towards humans.Â
She is also the main player who has the power to change things for the better as well as protect humans and she is the protagonist. They are the main characters that I can understand.
In this film there are also characters that I will explain through my analysis of the characters in the film Eternals and is a tritagonic character that is helping each other not to reach the creator's goal to destroy the earth.
1.Thena
Thena herself has the ability to fly, telepathy, and high speed. She can also fight with various weapons due to centuries of training. Thena character, is described as someone who is kind and friendly too. She is very close to Gilgamesh, because it was Gilgamesh who always made Thena aware not to be trapped in her past.So, since Gilgamesh was killed because of a deviant, Thena was no longer trapped in her past.
2.Ajak
Invite yourself to have a motherly heart and be the wisest in Eternals. She can also heal, fly and teleport. This character is described as wise and has a motherly nature so that she can be close to the people around her and only she can be close to Arrashem who is the creator of the characters Eternals.
3.Gilgamesh
In fact he has many nicknames on earth such as Hercules, Samson, Beowulf and Atlas. His punches are very strong and immune to poison. His endurance was extraordinary and Gilgamesh. He is so close to Thena that they have a bond that heals each other especially Thena.
4.Phastos
He is very proficient in technology and weapons. It has a series of powers such as incredible speed, strength and can fly. The special hammer that he has can radiate energy. Phastos is a funny character but he is among those who do not want to destroy the earth.
5.Druig
Druig himself has a solitary character. He is Ikaris' cousin who can control thoughts, fly, telepathy, and manipulate matter. Druig is only close to Makkari so it is Makkari who often calms Druig when he is angry.
6.Makkari
Makkari can run as fast as light. He also has a high level of reflexes and can drive various types of vehicles. She is a very unique character because of his ability to run very fast and she is a character who is very close to Druig.
7.Kingo
Kingo himself is a skilled swordsman living in Japan. But in the film, Kingo will be a character who has the power of cosmic energy.
8.Sprite
 Sprite themselves have lived long and have a long life like the other members of the Eternals. Sprite are immortal beings who can manipulate matter, telekinesis, fly to create illusions.
Conclusion
In this film, Eternals is a fictional story that tells about several characters who help mankind not to perish from the earth just because they got a mission from their creator. In this article, I explain my analysis of the characters in the Eternals film. The film Eternals, tells of the creators of the main characters or roles in this film who are supposed to carry out the mission of the creator, namely Arishem.
The one who really respects Arishem is Ikaris, so he is willing to do anything to get to the main goal of his creator to resurrect Arishem's soul on earth. However, because molecules that have moved from the body to the body sersi,so that sersi can save humanity from the destruction caused by Arishem.
