Eyewear Vendors at CFD: A Favorite Spot for Style and Function Seekers

Surakarta -- Car Free Day (CFD) has become a heaven for vendors to market their products, including eyewear sellers. Various types of eyewear, ranging from fashion glasses and anti-radiation glasses to sunglasses, are highly sought after by visitors.  

According to Sri (38), an eyewear vendor who has been selling at CFD for seven years, "Here, I sell fashion glasses, anti-radiation glasses, and sunglasses for outdoor use. Most of my customers are young people or those who enjoy sports," she said.  

Most of the glasses Sri sells are a mix of local and imported products. "Some are locally made, but others come from China. I choose ones with good quality yet affordable prices," she added.  

Sri revealed that the busiest time for buyers is in the morning. "Usually, it's busy from 6 to 9 AM. People who are exercise often stop by to look for glasses. Sunglasses sell especially well when the weather is sunny," she said while serving a customer.  

When asked why she choose CFD as her sales location, Sri explained, "Car Free Day is crowded with people, so the sales opportunities are greater. Besides, many customers try the glasses directly here, making it easier to attract buyers," she revealed.  

Sri also shared tips for maintaining glasses to ensure durability. "Clean them with a microfiber cloth and store them in their case to prevent scratches. That's all you need," she advised.  

Car Free Day is not only a venue for exercise and recreation but also a strategic location for small vendors to promote their products. With affordable prices and reliable quality, vendors like Sri demonstrate that small businesses can thrive amidst the city's bustling crowds.
