Physical appearance is a form of attraction in the eyes of others that can increase self-confidence. The face is generally the physical assessment of a person when they first meet. Some beauticians have produced many formulas to enhance the physical appearance.

Skincare is a product that is used daily and has many types and the efficacy of each formula is also different. Skincare is intended to moisturize facial skin and avoid bacteria that cause acne or facial skin dermatitis. Various kinds of skincare products such as makeup remover, eye cream, toner, ampoule, exfoliator, booster, sheet mask, water-based cleanser, essence,  moisturizer, sunscreen, serum and others all have their own benefits for skin health.

Nowadays, a lot of beauty products are offered but the products offered contain chemicals so that they work faster than products made from herbs. Continuous use of beauty products with chemicals can have a negative impact on skin health, especially on the face. One of the cosmetic products that many people use is facial soap or facial wash. Facial wash is often used as an alternative acne solution because it is widely known, easy to use, more efficient, and produces foam when applied to the face.

It is important to maintain healthy facial skin because environmental factors and extreme temperatures also affect it, such as air pollution, ultraviolet rays and various types of impurities that can cause facial skin to become unhealthy.

Washing your face with a facial cleanser is the first and most important step in skincare. However, choosing a facial cleanser that suits your skin type can be quite difficult. There are a wide variety of facial cleansers available in the market today, so it's best to search and find the one that best suits your skin condition. Because choosing the wrong facial cleanser can be fatal to the condition of your face. Common risks of choosing the wrong cleanser include acne, blackheads, rashes, and overly dry and sensitive skin.

There is no one-size-fits-all facial cleanser. The first step is to know your skin type and needs. Also, many cleansing ingredients can cause allergic reactions, so it's important to be cautious of them.

One way is to avoid high concentrations of alcohol in your cleanser, as alcohol can over-dry and sensitize your skin over time. The cleanser should also be gentle on the skin and not dry it out, but also not feel greasy or oily after rinsing. Also, make sure your cleanser is fragrance-free and paraben-free, as these added chemicals can cause unwanted reactions in the skin, leading to inflammation, acne, and even skin cancer.

Now do you often look at what ingredients are contained in your facial wash when you want to buy the product? Facial washes often state SLS-free, Alcohol-free, paraben-free, but have you ever seen an ad that lists Propylene Glycol-free?

There is some controversy regarding the use of Propylene Glycol, also known as 1,2-propanediol, trimethyl glycol, 1,2-dihydroxypropane, and methyl glycol. So, is Propylene Glycol actually safe for your face and skin in facial wash? What exactly does this ingredient do?

What is Propylene Glycol?
