The chairs are dominated by wooden chairs. Indeed, it stimulates the atmosphere to be older. You truly go back to the past.
What about the Menus?
Since the meaning of Kopitiam is coffee stall, of course I had to try coffee there. I chose Vietnamese milk coffee. That coffee is served by a specific Vietnamese filter, it means that you have to be patient to drink it because you have to wait the drops little by little from the filter :). Â The price of that coffee is IDR 10,000 or around US$ 1.
My brother chose to eat Spaghetti Toena Pedas or Spicy Tuna Spaghetty. It is unique because mostly in Indonesia, people eat Spaghetti with beef or rare with chicken meat, here it uses tuna. It is served with milk powder (separated). The price is IDR 22,000 or around US$ 2. We also ordered toast or we call it as roti bakar. Uniquely all the plates that are used here are old plates. It can be seen from the design on the plates, it's so typical with traditional oriental motives.

Well, it was interesting dinner with my brother. I will try more menus, especially for the coffees. The unique old atmosphere here makes me want to try other branches of Koptiam Oey in Indonesia. They are in Jakarta, Denpasar, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar. Let's go back to the old time with Koptiam Oey :)
