I Love Superman (Yes.. That Superman)

A friend ask me, amongst Spiderman, Batman, and others, who is my favorite superhero? I would definitely answer SUPERMAN. 

Yes, that guy with blue long spandex inside out red underwear (maroon these days). Here are the reason. 

1. DNA of a superhero.

When Batman wakes up in the morning, he is Bruce Wayne, and Spiderman is Peter Parker. So Batman or Spiderman is "the other guy" in action fighting the bad guy.  While Superman born with super power and true super DNA. Thats a true superhero. 

2. Humanity of Superman

Superman was not born super. He was born as human in a very advance planet and society. Being super on earth, is because of his excess power against earth gravity and nature. So Superman is human after all, honest, grew up in Kansas, and very much human. Unlike other superhero, who are human and try to be a superhero. Superman is super, who try to be as human as possible. That is a huge task and commitment for Superman.

3. Clark Kent is us

Being Superman is not easy. So Superman become Clark Kent. Underpaid reporter, naive, clumsy and reckless. Ironically, Clark Kent is us in every day life. Weak, clumsy, coward, & naive. This is the truth about humanity that Superman is trying to show us. Dont you love this guy? He is willing to become us in a humble Clark Kent personality. By the way, did you notice that Clark never take vacation?

4. Keep your friend close, and keep your enemy closer.

Being super is not always on top of eveyrthing. Superman nemesis is the cunning crazy jenius Lex Luthor. On the other hand, Lex befriend with Clark Kent. That the irony that Superman is trying to show us.

5. L.O.V.E 

Superman love 3 person in his live. His mom, dad and Lois Lane. No matter what happen, love keep him alive. Altough he never got a chance to love his own late parents, Superman always show the love.. 

So pay attention to your superhero movies... see the hidden wisdom??
