UN is Full of Cheating

UN or national test has done on April this year. There are some notes in this big annual event. UN is a test in the end of the study at secondary schools especially on junior or senior high school level. This test is used to determine the students pass or not after studying for three years. It always makes pro and contra. For group of pro the test, it is waited by students, teachers, headmasters and all elements of education.

They agree the test is done. They have some reasons. They are (1) it is used by the government, especially the Department of Education and Culture, to value the reach of students' competency in some lessons or subjects; (2) to know the ability of the students in studying materials when they studied at schools; (3) to mark the schools' success in teaching and learning process; (4) to map the quality of the educational programs and also the programs of education later in the future; (5) to enter the higher stage or level of education; (6) to value the students pass the exam from the schools or not; (7) to certain the schools can get educational aids to improve the quality of education. Without it the schools will have difficulties to check up the students' ability to enter the higher schools.

However, for the contra, it just kills the students' ability. The students, who learned for three years, are just justified by three or four lessons/ subjects. They are English, Mathematics, Indonesian and Science. If the marks of those lessons don't be gotten as the target, the students must not pass. They are failure. They are sad. Their parents are also shy. They must not want it.

Because the UN test is used to enter the higher schools and to mark the schools' success in teaching and learning process, the schools and the students do something to get high value in UN test. They did both positive efforts and also negative ones.

The positive efforts are usually done by schools or students with (1) giving additional materials; (2) adding lessons' hours at noon; (3) giving more materials and also joining the educational guides or institutions. Some students join the try out at schools done by schools or institutions of education.

However, the students and the elements of education don't have confident to face the UN test. They also do negative efforts. They do cheating and doing unfair. The cheating on UN test can be divided into two categories. They are (1) done by students and (2) planned by schools or UN committee at schools. They join to cheat.

The cheating done by students are (1) joining or collaborating among the students. They ask the answers each other, borrow the answers sheet on a test room; (2) sending SMS containing the answers among the students, in a room or another one. It is also another school. (3) opening books, notes, summaries; (4) writing some notes on tables or chairs, hand, arms, tissues or other places of the body; (5) putting the answers on some places, for examples; the clever students ask permission to go to toilet and put the answers on toilet or wall of out the class. Then, other students take the answers and distribute them to other students at schools.

The students cheat to get good marks, and then, they can pass the examination. They can use it to get good schools. If they don't cheat, they think they will be failure. If they don't succeed, they will be shy. Their parents are also shy. Their teachers are too.

The schools also do as their students. They usually do it by planning tidily. Their cheatings are (1) arranging the seat of the students; (2) giving the answers to the students. For the first action, it is usually done by (a) arranging the clever students to every rooms; (b) placing the clever students at the centre of rooms. The other ones sit around. It is done with hope, the clever ones can distribute the answers to another ones or lower students. So, they can get good marks and pass the exams.

For the second actions, the teachers of the schools give the answers to their students. The ways are (1) the teachers take the UN question sheets from the end of the room; (2) the teachers make the keys of the answers before or while the UN examination is carrying out; (3) the teachers distribute the answers to their students.

Now, where did the teachers get the question sheet of the test? Usually it is done after schools take the sheet from sub rayon or take the sheet from the end of the rooms. After getting them, the teachers will answer and make the keys of answers. After that, they distribute them to their students. There are some ways to distribute answers to their students. They are (1) give some announcements in the morning before examination is done. The students get answers and write on hand, arm, tissues, pencil cases, table and also rules. (2) write or put the answers on some places such as toilets, dustbins, walls of the class and canteen; (3) give announcements using load speaker technically called the name of the students with initial A, B, C, D or E. For examples, Andi, Arif, Alfion (for answer A), Budi, Bima, Bona (for answer B), Cicha, Catur, Caca (for C), Dona, Deni, Dedi (for D) and Edo, Enny, Elma (for E). (4) give the answers to the teachers who get a duty to present the supervisor and they give them to the students sitting in the corner near the door. (5) write the answers on the dustbin and moved by the cleaning service near the door. So, the students can see them. (6) send the answers using SMS to their students. (7) give the answers to the supervisor of the room because there is a relationship and distribute to the students at this room. (8) give the answers from outside or window. (9) if the teachers are discipline, the answers will be thrown from outside through the windows. (10) arrange the seats of the students to see some places and their teachers give the answers or code of answers. (11) give codes of answers using sound of bell because of the agreement between the students and their teachers.

The schools also do like their students. The teachers of the schools give the answers to their students. They want their students pass the UN exam. They need their students can get good marks. If it is done, the schools and the teachers will be said success. The schools' rank will increase. The students are happy. The parents are too. The students can get good schools in the future. Do you want to make it? I hope all of the teachers, the headmasters and all elements of educations don't have the same idea as mine in bad opinion. Do you want to be said success in your life but you do it by cheating?

I hope the students can succeed in doing UN test. Please, don't cheat in your life. You will get goodness. Pray to the God everyday. Study hard to face the test.
