Students should be able to think critically, contribute better to society, the country, and use both their skills and knowledge. When things happen that don't match reality, students often experience excessive anxiety, ultimately leading to feelings of hopelessness and uncontrollable anxiety.

Anxiety can be influenced by the academic classroom environment, discomfort or fear assignments and exam. Anxiety is negative emotional state marked by foreboding and somatic signs of tension, such a racing heart, sweating, and often difficulty breathing, (anxiety comes from the Latin word anxius, which means constriction or strangulation). Anxiety is similar to fear but with a less specific focus. Whereas fear is usually a response to some immediate threat, anxiety is characterized by apprehension about unpredictable dangers that lie in the future. Anxiety is characterized by physical symptoms, in-cluding: cold fingers, faster heart rate, cold sweats, headache, decreased appetite, sleeplessness, and chest tightness. According to 2018 data from Riskesdas, the prevalence of affective psychiatric disorders presenting with depressive symptoms and anxiety in those aged 15 and over accounts for about 6.1% of the total Indonesian population, or 11 million people.

One of the factors that influences lower anxiety levels is relaxation efforts. Possible interventions to reduce anxiety include music therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and butterfly-his-hug-eye therapy (EMDR). How to manage this fear so that it doesn't interfere with your activities using simple methods like butterfly hug therapy. This method was developed by therapists Lucina Artigas and Ignacio Jarrero while working with survivors of Hurricane Pauline.

The Butterfly Hug method is an alternative solution for calming the mind using suggestions that can provide comfort and calmness to students. Butterfly hugs itself enhance oxygen levels in the blood, effectively recovering negative and traumatic feelings. How to do a Butterfly Hug : First, cross your arms over your chest, close your eyes. Second, clapping your hands together like the flapping of a butterfly's wings. Third, while inhaling slowly and exhaling slowly. Four, do it for 30 seconds or until you feel calm. This method is easy to use and can be done at any time.

The Butterfly hug procedure use tactile technique to reduce the anxiety felt by students, because the self-healing process with touch puts a person in a light meditative state so that it can reduce stress levels in the body. Their bodies will relax, and they will get better quickly. It can be concluded that giving butterfly hug therapy is effective in reducing anxiety levels in students.
