Entering the third generation of internet, known as Web 3.0, there's inevittable alot of benefit from it. This technology that make communication more fast and easier has affected human life. It helps students to get knowledge and solve their homeworks, professionals and experts to share their experience and knowledge to others, give solutions to housewifes for solving their cooking problems :) and so on..
On the other hand internet has change how people live their life. How people to communicate to each other, how they live their social life, changed the way people trade, promote their product, learning in school, etc. Internet makes easier to communicate with people far away. We can use social media like Facebook, Twitter or instant messanger via internet like Whatsapp, Skype, etc. Because it more easier use their mobile device or computer to communicate people less talk in physic.
Just Benefit?
 But like other human-made technology internet has side effects. Besides internet misuse for crime internet overuse has negative effect. From approximately 7.2 billion people who live in this world, almost 3.2 billion connected to the internet the international telecommunication organization (ITU) reported. So we can imagine if the effect happen to all internet user. We have to prevent those negative effects from internet use.
Health is one of area that affected by internet use. We can divide it as physic health and mental health. How internet use can affected human health?
Physic Health
According to Milward Brown survey in 2014, generally user spend 6 hours 50 minutes a day in average to interact with their gadget. Specially in Indonesia they spend 9 hours a day to interact with their device.
According to insurance.com overuse for device can give side effect to our body, especially related to eye strain and bad posture. Staring electronic screen for long period causing eye strain. Bad posture when using computer device can causing muscle strain too.
Mental Health
There's alot of studies about side effects overuse of internet. According to pcworld.com there are new eight mental illness brought by the internet including internet addiction, facebook depression, nomophobia, cyber sickness.
Because overuse to interact with social media we have less face-to-face communication. Instead, we fell unsecure reading our friends activity at social media.
Wise User
At the end we have to realize that technology created to help human activity. Of course we can avoid the negative effect from internet. At least we can minimize it.
Many websites and forums with information on internet issues. We can use it as our source to enrich our knowledge for using internet wisely. We have to control ourselves when use internet and when we interact with real people. Especially for young generation, maybe our children or relatives we have to watch their activity from using the internet. We can give them a schedule, give them few hours for using internet.
