Identification is an intruduction to the object, people, place or animal we want to describe. In this section we convey general information about something that we will describe.
Untuk memudahkan menulis identification, gunakan pertanyaan-pertanyaan untuk menggali gagasan dengan menggunakan kata tanya: (what/who/when/where/why/how)
Misalnya kita akan menulis tentang kucing kesayangan kita.
(who) Who does the cat belong to? I have a cat. (what) What is it name? Its name is Jena. (How) How did you get the cat? The cat was my birthday present from my mother. (Why) Why do you love your cat? Because Jena is cute and obedient.
Maka kita tulis dan urutkan jawaban-jawaban tersebut. Naah, jadilah sebuah Identification sebagai berikut:
“I have a cat. Its name is Jena. The cat was my birthday present from my mother. I love Jena, because it is very cute and obedient.”

In this section, we provide a detailed information of the object, people, place or animal we will describe. If you want to describe an object, observe the size, color, shape, function, material.
Size : big, small, long, short, extra large Color : red, blue, yellow, white Shape : round, rectangle, square Function: to display, to record, to cut, to erase Material : iron, wood, paper, cotton, plastic
Example:
“My new diary is A5 size. The cover is thick, pink colour and has a picture of a lily. The papers inside are white and pink. There are 100 pieces blank pages. Every 25 pages, there is a colourful paper as a marker. This book also has a red long ribbon as bookmark.”
