Eid is one of the amazing religious rituals where Muslim celebrate and gathered with their families after a month of fasting in Ramadhan. This event appears twice a year. Once after Ramadhan and once on the 10th day of Al-Adha month. On this occasion, Muslims are required t show their joy and happiness among people. As Hajar al-Asqalani, may God have mercy on him, says: " إٍظهَار السُرور في الأًعياد من شَعَائِرَ الدِين"  which means that exhibiting joy on Eid, is one of the rituals of religion." Therefore, Muslims have to express their pleasure during these days. An important Sunnah of Eid is to spread pleasure and happiness to one's family and friends, and this should not be undermined by turning Eid into a time of mourning, sorrow, and regret.

Nabi Muhammad peace be upon him has clarified about sunnahs that is preferred to be done within Eid as putting new or best clothes, applying perfume for males, greeting and congratulating people around him, and sharing what he has with others. These sunnahs must be observed in order to build a strong connection with relatives and others.

Muslims around the world are being prepared for these days, they start buying new clothes, preparing gifts for children, making various types of delicious sweets, and also have a great feast on the Eid morning for their families. This increases the family bonding, and have silaturahm with the relatives and spread the love among them.

However, Eid also can be more meaningful if we cared about others who live out in poverty, the rich start pouring their money into them to spread the joy and love in their hearts. also, Nabi Muhammad peace be upon him used to go out for Eid prayer by one route and return by another. The Hikmah behind this sunnah is  to greet the people he would find on road and fulfill their needs as well as the road will bear witness to him. In addition, it also gives the optimism that the situation will change to forgiveness.

Besides, Muslims at home create a great feast for their families. After Eid prayer, families are being gathered at the feast table letting the worries and sorrows behind for a short time in order to feel the pleasure and mercy of Eid. They would start sharing their experiences, advices, and funny moments they had. By participating and enjoying these religious rituals, we may assist resolve tensions amongst family members and neighbors, and by doing so, we demonstrate the true meaning of Eid.
