B. Summary

Technology-based teaching media has become a trend in the present. A number of studies have shown the positive impacts of the use of technology in learning. English grammar is one of the lessons that is considered "boring" by students. Especially if the teacher uses traditional learning methods, namely by introducing sentence structures using grammatical formulas. This article discusses the use of Prezi.com as a medium for delivering grammar teaching material in English classes. This research shows that students like the use of this media and their post-test results also improve after using prezi compared to the control class that only uses blackboards and worksheets. Students who received grammar material presented using Prezi presentations scored higher in the post-test (mean score = 79.06) than students who received grammar with the help of traditional teaching media (mean score = 47.50 ). However, this does not mean that using prezi is the final improvement in developing grammar subject matter.

The researcher examined the benefits of Prezi as a learning medium in teaching grammar by giving treatment to the experimental group and having a control group as a comparison when the results were evaluated and analyzed. This research is an experimental research with a quantitative approach. In conducting true experimental research, researchers use the Pre-Test-Post-Test Control Group Design.

Based on data from the questionnaire analysis, students as a whole showed positive responses to the use of Prezi presentations in grammar lessons. It was found that there are 8 to 9 feedback that indicate the agreement of students who support the use of Prezi in grammar course. As suggested by a number of grammar teachers at the English Language Department UIN Ar-Raniry, lessons on conditional English expressions are considered as advanced grammar topics that can be chosen as representatives of grammar material. Then, more than 80% of students agree and strongly agree that to have good attention in learning, grammar must be taught using interactive and intuitive multimedia tools such as Prezi presentations. This result fulfills the advantages of using audio-visual in class.

Based on these research findings, a series of data generally suggests that teaching grammar using Prezi presentations helps students improve their grammar mastery. In addition, this also shows that students have positive responses to the use of Prezi presentations in grammar lessons.

C. Critical Review 

I chose this article because the discussion is very in accordance with what applies now. Where students are very interested in the use of media technology in the process of delivering teaching material, so the development of media and teaching materials is needed. I personally have been looking for learning materials on Prezi several times and the results are very satisfying. Learning material is really very well packaged and interesting, so it's not boring when read and also easier to understand.

In addition to selecting topics that are very interesting, researchers also describe the results of research very well. The choice of words that is easy to understand makes this article very understandable. The use of the experimental class and the control class can also convince the reader to trust the results of this study more. Presentation of the stages of the research is very clear, this can be useful for further researchers.

However, the researchers did not clearly state what grammar material was taught in the experimental and control classes. As we know the topic of grammar discussion is very numerous and the level of difficulty varies. So, it seems like it would be better if the researchers also mentioned it. Then, in the conclusions section, the researchers seemed a little doubtful about the use of this Prezi, even though the results of the study showed significant differences in values between the two classes. As far as I know, researchers conduct research and communicate the results of their research to the audiences to convince the audiences that the results of the research are valid and the research that has been done is true. But here the researcher shows his doubts. Despite of that matter, overall this article is very good.

D. Conclusion 

As stated above, the use of Prezi has a positive influence in the delivery of teaching material. This is very useful for educators and educators-to be  of courses. Besides that students can also use this web tool outside the classroom to help them better understand the material. Educators and students can also create their own presentations using this web tool as creatively as possible.
