Education is one of the main aspects of nation building. Through education, everyone is prepared to face global challenges and is expected to make a major contribution to the progress of the nation. Every country needs to provide the best quality of education for its citizens. Thus, the quality of student learning, especially in schools, can be a benchmark in the creation of national progress.

Efforts to improve the quality of education continue to be made for the implementation of good learning activities. However, it is not surprising that every country still has challenges that must be improved, especially regarding the lack of adequate education facilities. Educational facilities include schools, comfortable classrooms, teaching and learning equipment, libraries, laboratories, and access to information technology, such as computers and so on. Unfortunately, in Indonesia, there are still many schools that do not have enough educational facilities to support student learning activities.

Quoted from masjidkampus.ugm states that according to the Ministry of Education and Culture (KEMENDIKBUD) in 2019, only about 37% of schools in Indonesia have adequate facilities while the rest still have inadequate or no facilities at all. Inadequate classrooms are still commonly found, lack of learning aids, and lack of access to technology that hinders information can hinder the learning and teaching process.

The lack of educational facilities greatly impacts the quality of learning. Inadequate and uncomfortable classrooms can make it difficult for students to concentrate on learning. Quoted from cnbcindonesia.com that Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) noted that 60.60% of elementary school classrooms were in mild or moderate damage in the 2021/2022 school year. This figure is 3.47% points higher than the previous year which amounted to 57.13%. At the junior high school level, classrooms that were slightly or moderately damaged amounted to 53.30%. The percentage is 2.74% points higher than in the 2020/2021 school year, which was 50.56%.

Adequate facilities greatly support the course of student learning activities. The quality of student learning can be assessed from comfortable and complete place facilities. Students can be more focused and enthusiastic if the learning environment is in accordance with what students expect.
