Self-regulation is an important human skill in self-regulation and includes controlling emotions, acting, or making decisions. Self-regulation is very important to develop skills in controlling emotions and actions in the learning process. Students who are able to self-regulate tend to have good focus skills, including in the learning process. Time management is also very important in self-regulation for planning and managing study time so that students can do assignments on time. Many factors affect self-regulation in learning, one of which is individual factors, which we usually ourselves are sometimes very difficult to manage in online learning. Usually, there are those who are lazy to follow zoom, work assignments, and are negligent in attendance problems. Environmental factors can also influence self-regulation. Self-regulation places importance on students` ability to learn the discipline of self-regulation and self-control, especially in dealing with difficult tasks. Students with many other roles need self-regulation in good study to get good academic achievements. Students can regulate themselves properly and correctly in online learning through individual factors and environmental factors.

According to Bandura (in Mastuti, et al. 2006) in individual factors, there are three steps that can be taken, namely: self-observation (knowing oneself), assessing (comparing what we see with what is standard), and self-response. Individual factors affect a behavior's intent and how it is carried out. includes many things, and knowledge is one among them. The more knowledge we have, the better our ability to control ourselves will be. Achieving goals also have a personal influence component; the more goals we accomplish, the more motivated we are to practice self-control. Self-regulation skills, such as the capacity for self-recording, can positively impact activities such as taking notes and other private processes. The personality, the capacity for fluid thought, the ability to formulate difficulties or come up with the right solution to problems already encountered, as well as the design of interest in creatively demanding jobs and education, are all influenced by creativity.

Environmental factors are also very influential for self-regulation because it can be seen how the environment can support or not support. An unfavorable environment will make it difficult for us to concentrate. A few steps of development can encounter issues when the environment is not paying attention. Behavior can depend on the influence of others and conditions of stimulation (Shah, 1997). Behavior in its development can play a role in achieving this goal. Environmental factors also include social support, which can be seen from the number of social contacts that occur or individuals in establishing relationships with sources in their environment, such as having supportive friends, inviting learning together, teaching tasks that are difficult to understand, and spending time with other positive things.

Motivation is crucial in determining how confident you are in your ability to achieve your objectives. You can chat with someone who is already very skilled in their field about how they manage their time, and regulate themselves and others. They can all be the impetus to better manage our skills and get used to them through the developmental process (Bonnor & Kovach, 2002). There are many basic skills or abilities that we can improve, such as how to write well. when we want to write something like articles, short stories, novels and others, we can find out which elements must be understood. Back to the process is not one-size-fits-all; it should be tailored for individual students and for specific learning tasks (Zimmerman, 2002). Therefore, motivation is very important for students who take many roles and who certainly need self-regulation in their studies to achieve good academic achievements.
