- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flourÂ
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoons salt (skip if you are using salted butter)
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened and cut into small piecesÂ
For ghe filling:
Nutella (depends on how much nutella you want)
For the Egg Wash:Â
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
2. Add the eggs and milk. Mix until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface or on a electric mixer for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic
4. Gradually add the softened butter, a few pieces at a time, while continuing to knead. Keep kneading until all the butter is incorporated and the dough is glossy.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl with cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 6 equal portions
7. Flatten each portion and add the Nutella. Seal the edges making sure that the filling won't leak out and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each bun.
8. Cover the buns and let them rise for about 30-45 minutes, until they are puffy.
9. Preheat your oven to 375F (190C).Â
10. Brush the dough buns with egg and milk mixture.
11. Bake the buns in for about 15-20 minutes (adjust baking time based on the bun size) or until they are golden brown.
