MSG is the sodium salt of glutamic acid which is one of the most abundant naturally occurring non-essential amino acids.
The dangers of MSG for the body are:
1. Trigger brain health disorders
2. Increase the risk of MSG symptoms complex
3. At risk of triggering an increase in blood sugar levels
Why is food containing MSG delicious?
According to several studies, MSG can increase the intensity of the four basic tastes of food, namely sweet, salty, bitter and sour. Then MSG also gives a fifth taste, namely savory or what is known in Japanese as umami. Foods that contain umami tend to be judged by the body as foods that arouse appetite. That's why food with MSG always tastes better.
