Seminar: Digital Technology In Education, Fmns-Upi, In Collaboration With Leading University Project For International Cooperation (Lupic, South Korea
The seminar under the theme "Digital Technology in Education" was held by Chemistry and Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Indonesian Education University (UPI), Bandung. This activity is one of a series of activities in the inauguration of the Fabrication Laboratory Education (Fablab Edu) facility at FMNS UPI, which was obtained through collaboration between UPI and LUPIC, South Korea, where the purchase of equipment was 100% funded by LUPIC. A total more than 262 participants joint onsite in the 2nd floor of Auditorium FMNS UPI, and more than 120 participants joint online by zoom meeting. The participants' background was student of undergraduate, master, doctoral program, student, teacher, lecturer inside and outside FMNS UPI. This seminar was conducted hybrid, and live streaming in UPI Channel from 08.00 am until 12.30 pm, in which Vidia Afina Nuraini, M.Sc. as Master Ceremony (MC), and Triannisa Rahmawati, S.Pd., M.Si. as moderator.
Tuszie Widhiyanti, Ph.D. was opened the seminar and said that the seminar is one of the goals of cooperation between UPI-Unnes-Undiksha with LUPIC, in which the collaboration should be increase not only on the field of education but also research and community services. She also hoped that all the participant can get the information share in the seminar. The seminar itself was invited three speakers, they were Prof. Won Koo Lee from Sogang University or as LUPIC Director, Monica Cahyaning Ratri, Ph.D. from Sanata Dharma University and Erna Hernayati from PT Iwaki Glass Indonesia (IGI). Prof. Won Koo Lee talked about chemistry in daily life or "Why We Study Chemistry", also shared about the availability of scholarship provided by South Korea, such as Global Korea Scholarship (GKS); Monica Ph.D. under the title "Fablab: The Impact on Research and Development on Education"; and Erna talked about "Glass Callibration".
During the lecture, the participant seems so enthusiastic, it showed on discussion. There were many participants raised hand, not only in the Auditorium, but also in the zoom chat. The questions were about the scholarship opportunity, how to manage curriculum that can support mastering 3D or 4D printer/fablab, green chemistry in Korea compared with Indonesia, etc. The Seminar was closed by giving merchandise to all speaker from Chemistry and Chemistry Education Study Program, FMNS UPI. Furthermore, participant who asked during discussion time gotten souvenir from PT. IGI. (tr)
