Jakarta - Commemoration of International Women's Day which is celebrated around the world every March 8, in 2022, carries 'gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow' or gender equality today for a sustainable future.
The meaning of Women's Day can be interpreted as a form of appeal against inequality or unequal views about women. The commemoration of this day is not just a campaign regarding the importance of a friendly life for women.
International World Women's Day 2022 can also be used as a symbol of celebration for women who have dared to take choices as well as challenges in their lives.
Women's Day for the finalist figure for the 2019 Gadis Sampull, Endrinayla Rafa Amanda, said that it was a very valuable opportunity for women to be able to express themselves and to be brave enough to speak up in public. She said, so that she could convey women's rights that may not have been heard of.
"Hopefully at this year's celebration, I want more women to be more confident, to be themselves with their abilities and be able to get the same opportunities as men. Let's be brave women and Speak Up and hopefully our work can help others," she added.
Her interest in public speaking and English proficiency has led Amanda to many opportunities for becoming MC, moderator and key note speaker in various events. The discussion is around children's welfare, diversity, Â communication, education and mental health.
Amanda as the Founder and Executive Director, also added that Generaction Project has activities to teach English to children for two categories, whose ages start from grade 1 SD - 3 SD and grade 4 SD - 6 SD.
