- The Saudi government tolerates and works with the Muslim Brotherhood, an offshoot of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood with a moderate and democratic worldview. As long as the movement does not conflict with national objectives or goals, the Saudi government permits it to function there. Additionally, the Saudi government supports and facilitates this movement's social, educational, and humanitarian endeavors. Additionally, Abdullah Al-Turki and Abdullah Al-Hamid, two of the movement's leaders, enjoy close ties with the Saudi government.

- The Saudi government has reacted hostilely and aggressively against jihadi, extreme organizations that support using violence to topple governments considered to be anti-Islamic and combat Islam's adversaries. The group is viewed by the Saudi government as terrorists who put the nation's security and sovereignty in danger. To stop the group's ideology and network from spreading over the world, the government undertook military and intelligence operations against it both domestically and internationally. Syiah are a minority in Saudi Arabia and are persecuted by the Saudi government because they adhere to Ali bin Abi Talib's teachings as the first imam after Prophet Muhammad. The Saudi government views the group as heretical and fears that it could sever Muslim unity. The group's civil and political rights, including those to education, work, representation, prayer, and pilgrimage, are restricted by the Saudi government (Azis, 2023). The group's calls for fair and equal treatment with the Sunni majority are likewise suppressed by it.
