  • INTRODUCTION

Nutrition in food is a problem has not really been solved until now. Various kinds of problems in food nutrition are always present in the developmental stage of a child. Problems often arise, especially in the provision of improper and deviant food. This deviation causes disturbances in many organs and systems of the child's body. In fact, according to data, more than a third (36.1%) of school-age children in Indonesia suffer from malnutrition (LIPI, 2004). Based on FAO data in 2006, there were around 854 million people in the world experiencing chronic hunger and 820 million of them were in developing countries. Of these, 350-450 million or more than 50% of them are children, and 13 million of them are in Indonesia (Unilever, PT 2007) (Mawarni, 2018). In general, i want to grow according to my age. However, in some circumstances it will affect growth a disturbance appears. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2002, the number one cause of under-five mortality is due to malnutrition, which is at 54%. Based on the WHO classification of malnutrition prevalence, Indonesia in 2004 was classified as a country with a high nutritional status because 5,119,935 (or 28.47%) of the 17,983 children under five in Indonesia were classified as undernourished and malnourished. This is certainly a big problem because food is something humans need in everyday life (Purwani et al., 2013). However, it is the nutrition in food is one of the problems continues to grow today.

Instant noodles are foods liked by all people in Indonesia, this is due to its delicious taste, easy presentation and of course economical prices (Gumulya et al., 2019). There are many people who consume instant noodles. Even based on Riskesdas 2018, the proportion of eating habits of instant noodles in Central Java Province was recorded at 3.8% (1 time per day), 58.9% (1 to 6 times per week) and 37.3% ( 3 times per month). According to the adolescent age group 10 to 14 years, the proportion of eating instant noodles was 11.6% (1 times per day), 68.3% (1 to 6 times per week) and 20.2% (3 times per month), while In the adolescent age group 15 to 19 years, the proportion of eating instant noodles was 11.2% (1 time per day), 67.6% (1-6 times per week) and 21.2% ( 3 times per month) (Pratiwi et al., 2021). From these data it can be concluded consumption of instant noodles in Indonesia has a fairly high number.

Adolescence is a period of life between children and adults. The environment and lifestyle can affect adolescents, including in terms of food. The increasing consumption of instant noodles results in an imbalance in intake it will have an impact on a person's nutritional status (Pratiwi et al., 2021). So instant noodles are not the answer to the nutritional development of a teenager. Instant noodles have an adverse effect on health if consumed in large quantities.

According to Harsanto (2015) Consumption of instant noodles too often can pose risks and dangers to the health of the body, because instant noodles contain preservatives and low nutritional content (Efrizal, 2020). Instant noodles contain ingredients not good for the body and are at risk of giving disease to the human body. Besides, instant noodles if Consumed continuously will experience digestive disorders for those who consume it (Widiyaningsih et al., 2016). Of course from what is contained in instant noodles, it can be said instant noodles are a type of food is less healthy for the body.

However, among the public considers instant noodles have good nutrition for consumption, not even a few classify it as a nutritious food. This low knowledge can be caused because the advertising process circulating in the media, especially television, is not balanced with education about healthy food from related parties (Handrianto et al., 2018). In a study conducted by Fitri Wulandari (2014) at the Husada Karya Jaya Nursing Academy, it was found level of knowledge of students and college students about the dangers of consuming instant noodles at the Husada Karya Jaya Nursing Academy was moderate (63%) (Wulandari et al., 2015). Of course, this figure has not yet reached the desired target. Instant noodles have a content not good if consumed continuously so it is very necessary to conduct an education about the dangers of consuming instant noodles there are no more people who do not know about this and can avoid all the dangers exist in instant noodles.

From the previous explanation regarding the dangers of instant noodles and the lack of education for the whole community, we will conduct research on the dangers of consuming too much instant noodles. The novelty of this study is (i) Education using Power Point media can be enjoyed by teenagers, (ii) In addition to education on the dangers of consuming instant noodles, we will also educate students about the difference between ordinary instant noodles and healthy noodles circulating in Public. This study aims to provide interactive education and provide understanding to the students of Middle School 3 Parongpong about the dangers of consuming instant noodles and the difference between them and healthy noodles.

  • METHOD

The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. Quantitative Research Methodology is a type of research according to its paradigm. a quantitative approach based on a paradigm holds we can deliberately make changes to the world around them by conducting various experiments (Abdullah, 2015). The method used in this research is an experimental study. Experimental research is defined as research used to find the effect of certain treatments on others under controlled conditions (Kartikasari, 2016). In the first stage, we gave pretest questions about knowledge about the dangers of instant noodles and gave action in the form of education before finally we conducted a post test which was also in the form of questions about knowledge about the dangers of instant noodles.

  • N-Gain Nilai Value Analysis

Normalized Gain Test (N-Gain) is conducted to determine changes in behavior from the pretest and posttest (Hartati & Susanto, 2020). The formula used to take the N-Gain value is

Which is where the ideal score is the maximum value can be obtained by the respondent when filling out the pretest and posttest questions.

There are several categories of obtaining N-Gain values can be used as a reference for determining the conclusion of the final result. Table 2 shows the distribution of the N-Gain value acquisition categories.

Table 2. Distribution of N-Gain Scores.

  • RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Below is a table shows the results of the gain values. The calculation of the gain value itself serves to show the quality of improving the skills possessed by the respondent after taking an action (Serevina et al. 2018). In this case, the understanding skills of 7th graders at Middle School 3 Parongpong about the dangers of instant noodles. Table 3 below the average gain value is 0.656 (66%) which indicates  interactive lecture method for socializing the dangers of consuming instant noodles is quite effective for 7th grade students of Middle School 3 Parongpong. The minimum gain value obtained is 0.48 (48%) and a maximum of 1 (100%). If the presentation value of N-Gain <40%, it can be said as an ineffective interpretation category (Anshori & Wulandari, 2020). The minimum N Gain value obtained by we is 0.48 (48%) it can be categorized as an effective interpretation. This is influenced by the students' knowledge which is quite low about the dangers of consuming instant noodles the students' pretest scores are relatively low. Then the interactive lecture method is effective so as to provide students with an understanding of the dangers of instant noodles which in the end students can work on post-test questions with the right answers and higher scores.

Below is a picture shows the analysis of the difference between the results of the pretest and post-test questions which from the picture below explains all respondents from 7th grade students of Middle School 3 Parongpong have increased scores from pretest to post test. This proves understanding of 7th graders at Middle School 3 Parongpong has increased after being given socialization using the interactive lecture method and using PPT media. Of course, this result is a positive thing because the students' understanding ability increases about the dangers of consuming instant noodles.

  • CONCLUTION

We conducted a study with the aim of knowing the effect of the interactive lecture method on the understanding of 7th graders at Middle School 3 Parongpong about the dangers of consuming too much instant noodles. The research was conducted at Middle School 3 Parongpong, West Bandung, West Java. There are 3 main steps we took in this study, namely (i) taking pretest scores by giving questions to students before socialization was carried out, (ii) socialization actions through interactive lecture methods and ppt media, (iii) taking post test scores by giving questions. the same for students after their education. The results showed the average value of N-Gain was 0.656 or 67%. This value is obtained because the pretest and posttest scores have increased. Initially the average pretest score was 71, 7 and experienced an increase in the post test score, which was 89.2. From these results, it can be said interactive lecture method is quite effective in providing understanding to 7th grade students of Middle School 3 Parongpong about the dangers of consuming instant noodles.
