The living room of my house was dark, rather stuffy, and almost full of people. In the front row were my friends and I who had to look up a little because the television was hung quite high. In the position, slightly to the center, there are mothers, aunts, and mothers from next-door neighbors. While the gentlemen usually relax in the very back or deliberately choose outside the house, unless there is a schedule for a boxing match or football, they are in control of the room.

Back then, I had enjoyed life with the help of electricity, but of course only for simple lighting. For television, we use a battery (Accu) as a source of electric current, if the battery's energy is exhausted, we charge it (electrocute) in a place that is quite far from home. The battery is quite heavy, sometimes my friends and I carry it with bamboo sticks, taking turns.

Television viewing at that time was very limited, but it has become quite a cultural tool that makes us the 90's generation feel lucky to have experienced it firsthand. TVRI became the first channel, this channel broadcasts Dunia dalam Berita, Indonesian soap operas, western films, cartoons, shadow puppet shows, boxing, and football.

During the show, everyone was listening intently, if someone made a sound, we shouted at him together with the code 'shhh.. shhh ..' while covering his lips with his index finger as a sign of "shut up!". Only after the ad takes place, we turn off the tv to save power while commenting on what we just watched.

When not watching, the boys' favorite game at that time was shooting, and adventurous things like exploring the mountains looking for guava, bay fruit, or mango. While at school, we really like to play football, baseball, and badminton. Notice how what we watch on television greatly influences what we consider important and valuable.

Those times, no matter how beautiful they were, no matter how valuable they were to us, would never be repeated. The past is the past. It is printed with the word 'we' in it as a storyline that can now only be read, but not be repeated.

But if we want to use this 'memory note' as material for self-introspection, let's think about it for a moment. How to watch - not only television - because now there are so many kinds of information media, it affects perceptions, especially children who are under the age of 7 years, at the age of all programs watched will be eternal in the subconscious, which throughout life will be used as a good reference for thinking. seek solutions to physical or psychological needs.

Nowadays, our younger siblings are used to watching light but unclear information, even false and misleading. Of course, it will be a reference in their future.

Hope it is useful.
