Onic Esports Return to Champion MPL Indonesia Season 12
Onic Esports returned to become the champion of Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID) season 12 after defeating Geek Fam ID with a score of 4-2 in the grand final round held at Mahaka Square, North Jakarta, Sunday (15/10/2023).
Onic Esports appeared dominant from the start of the match and managed to win the first three games. Geek Fam ID fought back and won the next two games, but Onic Esports finally managed to win the fifth game to ensure the title.
This victory is Onic Esports' fifth MPL Indonesia title. They also became the first team to win the title twice in a row in the franchise era.
"We are very happy to be back as MPL Indonesia champions," said Antimage, Onic Esports team captain. "We have prepared very hard for this tournament, and we are very grateful for the results we achieved."
Onic Esports dominated MPL ID season 12 with a record of 13 wins and 3 losses in the regular season phase. They also performed well in the playoffs, where they defeated RRQ Hoshi and Geek Fam ID in the upper bracket.
