In this globalization era, technology developing very rapidly. The development of this technology to produce a lot of changes. One of them is in the features of transportation. Recently, online transportation is viral among the Indonesian people. Online transportation is  one of the shape of the implementation of the  traffic and transport way walking with follow and take advantage of the development of science and technology (Doni, 2017). Online transportation has some benefits and drawbacks for us.
There are some benefits of online transportation. However, I would like to mention three of them. First, online transportation is safety. Online transportation is safety because before order, we can know the driver's identity from his account. This is in line with the result of research from Communications Research Centre of Communication Science Department, Faculty of Social Science and Politic Universities Indonesia (UI) conducted by Primaldhi (2017) that "As much as 95% client feel safety using online transportation and 98% client feel comfortable using it," (Aziza, 2017).Â
The second is decrease unemployment. This job can doing without special skills, so everyone from any circles can take this job. This is in line with the survey from The Chief of Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) conducted by Suharyanto (2016) that "The unemployment rate of Indonesia as many of 530.000 people to be 7,03 million people in August, 2016. The one of the factors driving in the number of unemployed that is labour absorption for online motorcycle," (Supriyatna, 2016). The last is lot of ways to pay. Not only by cash but we also pay by digital wallet. It can be facilitate the passangers who are lazy to bring money cash. The one of digital wallet application is Go-Pay, which has got accepted from Indonesian Bank. This is in line with a statement from Marita (2018), as in Luciana (2018) that "QR Code Go-Pay has gained accepted from Indonesian Bank since April, 2018. Go-jek developing payment features via scanning QR code dynamic and static."
Not only benefits but online transportation also has drawback. There are some drawbacks of online transportation. However, I would like to mention three of them. First, online transportation can cause conflict with conventional driver. The conflict is caused by competition tight across the world to work. This is in line with the stated by Kurniawan (2017) that "The more or less three weeks ago in Pekanbaru, while working, the Uber and Gojek's driver was attacked by conventional driver. Not accept treated like that, the online transportation's driver community give the revenge. Clashed inevitable". The second drawback is from the price. The price of online transportation is more expensive than public transportation. Recently, DetikFinance as in Hamdani (2018) try to compare tariffs between ojol, online taxi, and MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation) Jakarta.
