Leadership style is a method used by a leader in influencing subordinates to carry out their duties and responsibilities as expected in order to achieve predetermined goals. Leadership style includes interpersonal behaviors that leaders exhibit in the course of directing their workers towards the achievement of organizational objectives. There are three types of leadership styles, namely authoritarian leadership, democratic leadership, and free leadership.

A. Authoritarian Leadership
Authoritarian leadership sometimes referred as dictator or tyrant often prevalent in military institution. The benefit of this type of leadership style encourages orders, procedure and control decisions that require followers to be carried out as they appear without taking human aspects into account.

Authoritarian leader, marked by individual decisions, may constitute an important need for an entity or a nation at a certain stage of a crisis, such as earthquakes, wars and crises requiring an emergency decision-making process. This leader is a responsible and strong and unresponsive decision-maker.

B. Democratic Leadership
Democratic leadership believes in shoulder responsibility, mutual engagement and often has a distinct and innovative leader, where, unlike the authoritarian leader who often places himself above laws, the democratic leader can be held responsible for his errors and inflicts penalties.

Democratic leader benefits from the experiences of others and is employed in achieving the objectives. The benefit of this style of leadership is that the majority of them have specific electoral initiatives and goals to be accomplished, which is the basis for the engagement of others and the beliefs around them, whether by election or agreement to arrive at the leadership role.

C. Free Leadership
The free leader is permissive and unable to allow employee to make critical choice instead of him. The free leader is not concerned with the indifferent outcomes or hazards that surround the company and endanger its survival and existence. This leadership style does not have the leadership skills that it takes to lead the company efficiently and effectively.
