Brilit: The Lord of the Rings

Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel by John Ronal Reuel Tolkien, he is a  British writer and professor who has very famous writings, called The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion.

This story was written from 1937 untill 1949 and became one of the most popular literary works of the 20th century also translated into 38 languages, the novel has been made into a film three times, firstly in 1978, 1980, and the final in 2001, 2002, 2003 besides winning several Academy Awards.

The Lord of the Rings tells the about hobbit's attempt to destroy the one ring before it is found by Sauron. The ring was created by Sauron, the Dark Lord to control the other rings that have the power that has been given to Men, Dwarves, and Elves.

5. Hobbit Nazgul, ring-wraiths, Ulerie

6. Orks, goblins

7. Uruk-hai

In publishing it the author had a dispute with his publishers, George Allen and Unwin, which eventually led to Tolkien offering the work to William Collins in 1950, which ended up dividing the work into three parts to reduce financial losses. In addition, The Lord of the Rings novel became very popular in the United States in the 1960s and was ranked as the most popular work of fiction as assessed in sales, library loans, and reader surveys in 2003, 2004 and most recently in 2019 BBC News included The Lord of the Rings novel in its list of the 100 most influential novels.

Even though the work is quite old, there are still many people who like it and really enjoy watching his work in the form of a film, especially for people who like fictional works. Even if the film is re-aired, it is very popular among people aged 17 years and above.
