The solution is to form areas of power, for example America, which will not let Cuba enter its territory. And Russia does not want NATO to enter Ukraine. And China extends its power to the South China Sea because it wants to enlarge its territory to prevent foreign missiles from attacking China.
3. How can climate change occur and the destruction of biodiversity
What did UN SDSN do to ease world tension?
Countries worry about world security because they don't trust each other. What UN SDSN is doing is creating projects that produce win-win solutions or results that build trust between China and America.
America doesn't want it to become a war in the South China Sea. Because if China puts submarines there, America will also put submarines there.
So the way is to build projects that build trust, namely playing a role in climate change, caring for Biodiversity and expanding the good parts of globalization.
2 projects introduced:
*The first project is the Asian green future project
*The second project is called The science panel for south is asia by versatility protection online and in water project.
The first project has representatives from 9 countries and all ASEAN countries except Brunei.
The goal is to find out how we can achieve zero emissions. The project in Indonesia is led by Professor Alin Halimah from UI.
When carrying out this project, 1 significant difference was observed between projects carried out in Europe and in ASEAN.
And note that Malaysia produces X amount of carbon dioxide, but its emissions are worth 0.25 of these emissions because debt in Malaysia absorbs 75% of the CO2.
This means that for countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia there are 2 ways, the first is to reduce gas emissions from the industry in these countries and the second is to increase the capacity to absorb back the CO2 released by the industry.
So the first is called D-Carbonization and the second is Raith-Carbonization.
It was at that point that we realized that forests have a very big role in Net Zero Emissions and not only that forests are home to biodiversity.
The CPC's work agenda is to protect and expand forests and then to grow crops and to reduce environmental damage and increase crop resilience and improve soil fertility.
And the next agenda is to remember the many indigenous tribes that live in the forest so that their welfare increases and social and economic justice is realized.
And the last part is wanting to create sustainable urbanization.
