The differences of Jokowi and Ahok's leadership style

I believe that everyone knows who Jokowi and Ahok are. Yes, they are the new selected governor and deputy governor of Jakarta. Many people, especially the citizens of Jakarta have big expectations on their perfect duet to make great changes and solve the problems in Jakarta itself. However, there are three different leadership style of Jokowi and Ahok : how they behave, what they do, and whether or not they accept their salary.

First, I will elaborate the ways of Jokowi and Ahok behave. As I have watched and read in the media, I can say that Jokowi is calmer than Ahok in dealing some situation. It can be seen clearly in one case that Jokowi found out his staffs came late. However, he just satired in soft way. Unlike Jokowi, Ahok is way fiercer. In some cases Ahok directly argues his staffs if their arguments or opinion just don't match with him.

Second, Jokowi is used to have more interaction with the citizens. He goes to every area of Jakarta in case to get to know citizens condition and what the citizens problems are now. While Ahok is used to be staying in office more and control the staffs' performences.

The last is Jokowi doesn't take his salary while Ahok does. Jokowi once clarified his reason not to take his salary that he wanted to serve the citizen for free. While Ahok does take his salary and he clarifies why he takes it and how much the salary that he receives per month.

In conclusion, Jokowi and Ahok are different in behaving, doing what they do, and taking or not taking their salary. I think both of Jokowi and Ahok have their own leadership style, and that what makes them very great partners.
