Lack of Interest in Reading

The quality of education in Indonesia can be said to be relatively low, many of which are contributing factors, one of which is the lack of interest in reading among the public, especially students. Interest in reading can be said as a student's desire or interest in reading books to get information from something written. Indonesia is currently experiencing a lack of interest in reading, the habit of reading interest in Indonesia can be said to be still low

The level of public interest in reading will develop along with increasing understanding of the importance of reading interest. The lack of interest in reading that is owned by the Indonesian people should encourage related parties to immediately address and analyze what are the causes in general, the cause of the lack of interest in reading in the community is caused by two factors, namely internal and external factors, internal factors are factors  that exist within themselves, for example, reading habits that are less because they consider long reading materials to be very boring and a lack of understanding of the importance of reading interest, external factors are environmental factors, it cannot be denied that technological developments have had an impact on decreasing interest in reading in the community because they  more comfortable to linger with their gadgets compared to reading books

indeed it is not easy to instill an interest in reading but we must continue to strive and do this it is important for the quality of our education, especially for ourselves in order to build a quality generation, reading habits can also improve reading skills so that knowledge can be mastered better.  we can try to increase interest in reading, for example parents and teachers take part in providing an understanding of active reading to students, libraries should be more innovative in providing reading materials, holding various cheap book exhibition events

Through the habit of reading from an early age, it can increase people's interest in reading and there is a need for encouragement to generations of people to realize that reading is very important and can open wider horizons by paying attention to factors that can increase their interest in reading.
