In a village namely Sedan, live 3 boys who have a same dream, they were Ali, Furqon, and Jagad. They are the only kids who live only with their mother except Furqan, his parents are still intact. Their just a kid from farmer family in their village who got impressed by wonderful of Jakarta from the TV. And because of that they have same dream, they dreams is they can go to the capital city or Jakarta and work in one of thousand company in Jakarta and they live happily there and marry Jakarta's girl and have they own family in Jakarta. They dreamed about it since they were 10 years old. One day Furqan's father said to Furqan.
"son, when you grow up you need to be a person, study hard, go to the city and get a job, live happily there, get married and build your own family there. Make me proud, son" said him.
His father also told Furqan how he can live good better than now. After that, Furqan go playing with Ali and Jagad, while their playing Furqan tells Ali and Jagad about what his father's said to him and their started to imagine how's city life is.
"It's must be good Fur, I want to go to the city and live there!!" said Ali happily.
"You're right Ali, I also imagined and wondered what can we get in the city when we cannot get it here. I also want live happily there!!" said Jagad.
"It is right guys. But, how can we go and get our dream there when we are just a family of farmers? It seemed impossible I guess" Furqan asked to Ali and Jagad.
"Hmm, it is right. I don't think that we can make it" Ali continued
"Akhh come on boys!! nothing is impossible. We just need to try our best and trust to yourself, Godwill we can" Jagad excited.
"Yeah you're right!! Let's we get our dream there together!!" Ali's on fire
"Yeah!!" Furqan and Jagad continued.
Of course what Furqan's father said made them excited and really want to go there. Since the day, they were more excited and study hard to get what they dreamed. They always get to school together, study together, and anything that could make their dreams come true their always did it together. Day by day, month by month, years by years, they thru many things to chase their dream together with none any problem.
They turn 20 years old now, they started to apply job in Jakarta. Even though they apply got reject at first they are not give up, they keep applying a job there and finally they got called from the company they applied to come to Jakarta for an interview and internship. They are happy and told to their parents that they would go to Jakarta for work and their dreams will come true.
Their parents were happy to heard it especially Furqan's father, he look so happy and proud to his son and told the neighbors that his son will go to Jakarta. But the neighbors just take it so so, they assume that Furqan will not be successful because he is just a farmer. But he believe that Furqan will success there. So he give Furqan some advice.
"Furqan, you grown up now and you must be understand how does it feel to be an adult. I wanna tell you something, me and your mom are so proud of you Furqon, you did great to get your dreams. I know it is not easy to be get here but, I believe that you are the best of the best, son. So, keep doing well and promise me Furqan, DON'T YOU EVER GIVE UP ON SOMETHING, NO MATTER WHAT. Don't mind what they say Okay?!! Do you understand me?!!" Furqan's father gave him strengthen.
YES DAD!! I PROMISE IT AND TRYIN DO MY BEST!!" Furqan's on fire.
In the next week, time for Ali, Furqan, and Jagad to go to Jakarta by bus and they go to the terminal together with their parents. Arrived at terminal, before they leave they say goodbye to their parents. And once more, Furqan's father says to Furqan the same thing that he has said yesterday.
"Furqan, I tell you one more time, don't you ever give up on something okay?" speak to Furqan
"Yes dad, I'll do your advice" Furqon answer.
"No matter what Furqan!! No matter what!!" he continued.
"Hmmm" Furqan answer's with lazy.
"I know it dad, no need to repeat I'm an adult now" Furqan says in his heart.
Finally time to go and they get in the bus.
"Furqan, Jagad let's get in the bus. It's time" said Ali.
"Yes Ali, I'm coming" Jagad continued.
"Yeah Ali wait a second, I'll be there" said Furqan.
The bus is leaving, they wave to their parents from inside bus. During the trip they look very happy because finally the day they are waiting for is coming. The next day they arrived in Jakarta they told their parents that they has arrived, they stay at Ali's aunty with her husband, they stay 3 days and 2 night in Jakarta.
They want have a rest all day to prepare for tomorrow because tomorrow it's the day they do an interview. Instead of having a rest, they just talk about tomorrow because they always thinking about it and little bit nerveous.
"guys, are you sleeping?" Furqan whispered.
"No Fur, I can't sleep" Ali answered.
"Yeah me too" Jagad continued.
"Ohh, thought you were sleep" said Furqan.
"No Fur, we weren't sleep. What happen Fur?" Ask Ali.
"Nahh, I'm just little bit nervous for tomorrow. Did you?" said Furqan.
"Ahh come on Furqan, we are here, this is the time we waiting for after a long time" said Ali.
"Ali's right, you have to be optimistic Furqan, remember what you said to us about your father's said [Don't ever you give up on something. No matter what!!] it is your father words and you have promised to your father right?" said Jagad.
"Jagad's right, you've promise. So keep your promise!!" Ali continued.
"Alright boys, alright" Furqan's answered.
"Come on, have a sleep. We need some extra energy for tomorrow!!" Ali ordered.
Then they're sleeping until tomorrow come. Next morning they woke up and get prepare them self for an interview. They were escorted by Ali's aunt to the location. Arrived at the location, Ali's aunt left, then they walking thru into the building that they never seen in their village.
"Look! how big this building!!" said Jagad.
"Alright guys, it's the day, we almost there better prepare yourself" Ali continued.
"Focus Furqan focus focus!!" Furqan mumbled.
"Good luck guys!!!" said Jagad.
One by one they called and finally they're done with the interview and they all are passed. They call their parents and tell them that they finally passed the interview. Their parents are so glad to heard it, now they just need to wait for the time they start their internship which is next week.
"Fiuhh, finally guys WE'RE PASSED!!" said Ali.
"Yesss guys, WE DID IT!!" Jagad continued.
"YESS!! Well done mate!!. My father would be proud of me" said Furqan.
"Of course he would!! You did your promise well. My parents would do the same" said Jagad.
"Yeah, my parents too" Ali continued.
"I have an idea, what if we walk around Jakarta for celebrate?" asked Ali.
"Sounds good" Furqan answered.
"Yeahh, LET'S WE CELEBRATE NOW!!!" Jagad excited.
They leave the building by Trans Jakarta, it is their first time to try Trans Jakarta and they look happy and enjoy with it. They enjoy the time until the day getting late, they go to aunty Ali's house. It is the most happy and proud day ever in their live. Â Â
Everything passed as usual until 2 days later the problem is coming, when Furqan, Ali, and Jagad are playing together, Furqan got call by his mom and tell him that his father is in hospital. He was shock to heard it, so were Ali and Jagad.
"Hallo Furqan!! My son!! Kid, your father.." Furqan's mother panting.
"Why are you panting? What's going on mom? What do you want to say?" Furqan's ask his mom confused. Â
"Your father is in hospital!!!" Furqan's mother continued.
"WHATT??!!" shock Furqan.
"You must be kidding right, mom?!!" Furqan continued.
"IM SERIOUS FURQAN!!! NO TIME TO JOKE!!" she shouted.
In that time Furqan want to go back home because his worried of his father. He check ticket bus online but all full booked, so he decided to leave tomorrow morning by train. Ali and Jagad are come with him so, they pack all of their stuff on that night and go to sleep. But Furqan cannot sleep because he always thinking about his father and Ali and Jane trying to get Furqan's smile back so he not thinking about his father.
"Hey Furqan, go to sleep, tomorrow we're gonna leave earlier" said Jagad.
"I can't sleep Gad, just you sleep" Furqan answered.
"Fur, I know you thinking bout your father now. But, you need to keep your energy too if you want to go back home" said Jagad.
"Ya Fur, you must be need your energy for tomorrow. I now your mind keep thinking about your father, but for now the only thing you can do is praying to Allah. Istighfar and pray to Allah, calm yourself, alright men? Don't worry I'm pretty sure your father would be okay, just pray for the best for him" Ali give Furqan spirit.
"Yeah I wish my dad would be alright" Furqan's prayer
"Aamiin" Ali and Jagad pray.
"Alright, time to bed" said Jagad.
It's 4am and and they were ready to go, they go to the station Gambir by GoCar. They arrived at the station and hurry to get in the train, the trip will take about 8 hours. During the trip, Furqan always daydreaming of his father in the train, Ali and Jagad see it and try to cheer up Furqan and make him smile again.
"Furqan, what are you looking at?" asked Ali.
"OH COME ON ALI, OF COURSE HE LOOKING AT THE GIRLS RIGHT THERE HAHAHAH" Jagad laugh.
"What? Really fur? HOHO GOSH I THINK HE LIKE THAT GIRL GAD" said Ali.
"Akhh come on boys, you guys joking to me? I'm thinking about my father!!" Furqan answered shouted.
"Come on Furqan look around, we're going home now to see your dad. You should happy because you will see your father by yourself" Ali give him strengthen.
"Listen to me Fur, just pray and don't think any worst thing about your father okay?" Jagad continued.
"Hmm yeahh fine, I will take a pray then go sleep. I didn't sleep last night" Furqan answered.
"That's my boy. Go to sleep mate! I want it too" Ali continued.
"Yeap, so am i. Our trip is a couple hours more, so better we sleep" Jagad next.
They sleep well until immediately sound of ringtone from Furqan's phone woke them up, it is Furqan's mom calling.
"HALLO FURQAN!! SON... YOUR FATHER IS DIED!!" said his mother while crying.
"Hallo mom, what mom? What happen?" said Furqan while still unconscious yet.
"My son, your father dead" she said crying hardly.
"HAHH?!! Mom serious please don't make a joke" said Furqon while holding back tears and try to get up.
"No son... I'm serious your father is dead" she said while crying very hard.
"No mom, he's alive he want to see me mom, I'm on my way home, no way he would died first." Said Furqan.
This time he cannot hold his tears anymore so he crying in the train. Heard Furqan's crying, Ali and Jagad wake up and shock why Furqan crying. So they ask Furqon.
"Fur, what's going on? Why did you crying?" Jagad asked.
"Furqan, what happened?" Ali continued.
"I just got called by my mom she told me that my father is dead" Furqan's crying hardly.
"What??! No way Furqan, you must be kidding right?!!" shocked Ali.
"Fur, maybe you heard wrong because you just woke up, don't made a joke it is not funny Fur!!" shocked Jagad.
"I'M NOT JOKING TO YOU, I'M SERIOUS BOUT WHAT I AM TALKING" shouted Furqan.
Then Ali and Jagad hug Furqan to make him calm. It's 5pm, they arrived at a station and they go to their village. When they arrived, Furqan running into his house and there are so much people in his house. He see his mom crying next to his father body, he came to his mom and hug her tightly.
"Furqan, thank god you're home. Son, pray for your father's okayy. Before he gone he said something for you, he said he was so glad to heard that his son finally can get his dream. He want you to keep on your goals and don't stop no matter what happen" said his mom.
Furqan just sit quietly with no say any words to answer his mom. Day goes on and it's time for Furqan, Ali, and Jagad get back to Jakarta for internship. His neighbors think Furqan is rebellious child because he want to leave his mother alone in home. And also his neighbors think he would not success in Jakarta because he is just a kid from farmers family who just lost his dad. But his mom always make him believed to his self and always pray for him that he could make it. He do not take so serious what his neighbors said to his family, because as long as he try he would make it. He want to prove it to his mom and his father on heaven that he will success in Jakarta.
When they arrived in Jakarta, the next day is the time for them to internship. They do internship for about 1 month and they would not let any mistakes are happen because now is their last exam and their chance to passed and be a jobholder. One month passed and they got news that they accepted for work there. They wee very very happy because it's really come true, their dreams come true. They called their parents and tell them they has been accepted in the company, their parents was so happy to heard that. Â Â Â
So, from now they will live in Jakarta, but they want to take their parents live in Jakarta with them. Then 5 months later they return to their village and to pick up their parents to Jakarta. The neighbors were shocked because how can the farmers kid be an employee in one of big company in Jakarta, it seemed impossible for them. Now, the neighbors just looked down and feel embrassed because they have underestimated Furqan.
