3 tips to sound like a native speakers :
1. Connect words
- Example : Black Coffee, what do...?,not at all..
The connect words it self you can connect consonant to consonant, it means when a word ends in a consonant.
C Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â C
Consonant : Â B,C,D,F,G,H etc.
Vowel : A,I,U,E,O
Word ends in a consonant and the next word begins with the same consonant, drop the first one, for example :
- Black Coffee can read with 'Bla Coffee'
- What do...??
- The t and d, these are two diferent consonant, but according to the tongue and the mouth, they almost sound the same. So, we do the same thing. ' wha do you do'. And another thing you have to keep in mind is when we say it fast, we also don't really say 'e', we say like a sort of like a small e..we don't say 'o',we can read like 'Wha do ye do'?
- That's how a native speaker would say it naturally.
Another thing is when a word ends in a consonant and the next word begin in a vowel.
C Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â V
The consonant into the vowel and separate the syllable before. A syllable is the vowel sounds in a word.
Example :
- Not at all"
So, nobody like a native speakers don't say "Not at all" but No-ta-tall. And say it quickly. - Blend the letters one into the next.
2. Squeeze word
Certain words, we don't say all the syllable and all the letters.
Example :
- Comfortable ( Com-fort-able )
The native speaker don't say "or". So we can read "Comf-ta-bil" . And notice the last sound is like a small or little "i" in there. And we don't pronouce the "or" between Comf(or)table.
- Interesting ( in-chre-sting)
Find out what the syllable are so: in-ter-rest-ing" if you want to emphasize something, we have a word called "enunciate". When someone want to emphasize a word, then they enunciate each syllable, they say each syllable separately.
3. Squeeze letter
This is particularly true for a few letters. When we have "tr" together in one word usually sounds like "chr"
For example :
- Country become Cun-chry
When we have "dr" together in one word usually sounds like "jr"
For example :
- Hundred become Hun-j-red
It is one hun-j-red dollars, right? Â Â Â
